My mother's always told us, that, she can survive without electricity, but not without water…
And I fully agree with her… I'll probably keep telling baby too, when she understands the important of water…
See… both of us have been through the water crisis back in year, don’t know 1998, or 1999,
Where we've to get pails to go collect water from the water truck sent by government…
And that's why, till date, we still have those big pails, medium pails, small pails in our household, you just won't know when you'll need it again, though they're kinda eye-sore in the house, but then… why bother? I live in a practical world, it's all about practicality to me…
During the water crisis in klang valley,
Yep, we've to carry the pails to fetch water…
But sometimes, there's water dripping from the tap, and we're using those semi-auto washing machine, ie. you can just open up the tub and fill up the water rather than let it run from the tap..
For some reason, the tap for the washing machine, water couldn't come up, and come out, maybe the pressure was too slow, however, our sink in the kitchen, could see trail of water, and therefore, I collected the water, bit by bit, to do our launderette…
Now, I think about it, it's painful…
And that time, we're trying to minimize our change of clothes… haha!! You can imagine…
Now… also, for some reason, our launderette gets piled up very fast…
Maybe we changed our clothing more frequently, due to the increase of the climate temperature,
Or, just for some reason, I don't know…
Plus, with additional of a baby in the household, who, definitely needs clean clothing at all time…
We really have piles and piles of launderette to be done…
But it's ok, as I've posted before, I love doing launderette…
However!!!
The other day… we started encountering another water crisis again… gosh!! I really think, WATER is sooooooooo important!!!
Long story cut short:~ (point form)
Air-conditioner was down for a while, due to "stupid" layout of the compressor at the back in our backyard, which is due to "stupid" supervision by the "see tao poh", ie. ME!!
So, after dragged so long, we intended to have it fixed, 2 weekend ago!
People came and fix, try to move it to the top of the inner wall, which I knew there's a pipe running, cos, during our house renovation, I saw the contractor drilled into the pipe, and walla~~ water shoot out!!
That day, I've this feeling that, we might drill into the pipe again, just a feeling, however, since I' m not the type of person who've sixth sense frequently, therefore, I chose to ignore it…
And yes… just right there, the kid who came service our aircond and to move the compressor, drilled right into the pipe, again!! This time, on the other side of the wall..
AND, THAT'S THE MAIN PIPE TO THE WHOLE HOUSEHOLD!! He's to quickly run down to the management and call out the guy to open up the water meter room, to close the pipe…
Luckily the management person with the key was in, though both were still soaked, especially the little kid…
That weekend and that night, we survived on mineral water, and before we figured a way to fix it, we just let the water sip through the whatever seal that the kid put on, which failed to conceal 100%, and that we could take our shower for the night…
And luckily, his father's a knowledgeable man who's very well-versed in all these DIY thing…
The next morning, when he shared this "session" with the father, immediately, SELLEYS KNEAD-IT was introduced… and immediately we went to the shop to look for it…
His father confidently said that, with this, you do not have to doubt that it'll ever leak again… though, we of course, were still worried…
And therefore, there continued our "water crisis"… since we're traveling to singapore… we close the main tap again…
And therefore, after getting back home last night… we're in the "crisis", but sometimes, I think it's a good "exercise", we bath with around 1 medium pail of water each… ya, were still able to bathe, mind you!
Both of us basically minimize the wastage of water… irregardless we're showering, or bushing teeth, or whatever… ^_^
As of now… of course, I'm happily doing my piles of launderette again… after getting the management to re-open the water tap for me…
^_^V
