Ooh.. Let me tell you, it's not normal hiding…
Lately, baby loves doing it, and I'm very sure, she knows it well..
Cos, whenever she does it, her expression is… ah!! I wish my eyes are the camera shutter, and that, I can capture that moment…
She's that mischievous look ok??
It's like…
Her eyes sparks,
She'll just look straight at me… silent!!
Yep, I'm sure all mothers agree with me, whenever baby is silence, meaning they're doing something that you're going to have your heart stopped…. (well, most of the time)
She'll look at me, smile like not smile…
Pretending that nothing's happened!!
Yes, pretending, she knows well how to act "ooh tiong", cantonese? "zha so ban mong"!!!
See… it went like this,
She likes playing with stuff that she's not supposed to play with, ie. not her toys…
And whenever I'm cooking, or doing my house work, I need to kinda keep her entertained, but toys won't satisfy her… (though I still keep buying some toys, which, I personally think are so cute, that I'd like to have, that's the problem, right??)
To settle her for a while, I'll have to give her paper, books, and so on, which eventually will end up in her mouth…
She's already done it with her "365 stories for girls" book, and that, a few pages, we've to cut of the corners, cos, they're already soggy, ie. even easier to go into her mouth…
So, I'm not going to give her that books this time, anyway, it's heavy…
I gave her those banking pamphlets, just nice weight for her to carry, to toss around, soft enough for her to bend, but each time, I'll just have to tell her, "no mouth mouth", or sometimes in mandarin, "bu ke yi fang zui ba"…
Again, I'm sure she understands…
Cos, she'll just play with it, happily, in front of me, I allow her to tear, cos, they're going to end up in the bin anyway…
She plays with it, in front of me, no mouth mouth,
But just at the moment I turned around,
She's quiet..
And when I turned back,
She gives me that look, smile like not smile, or, not smile like smile… cheeky!
Check her hands? Nothing she's holding,
Check the book… look at the corners, all in tact, but one page, the edges are a bit soggy, and crooked… oh!! Some parts gone missing…
Last check is her mouth…
She hides it up there at the roof of the mouth…
Next thing is, I just have to poke my finger in, and dig it out…
Today's not the first time, and again, I super sure she knows it,
She knows that she's not suppose to put paper into her mouth, that's why she doesn't do it when I'm looking at her,
She knows that when she hides a little piece in her mouth like this, that'll be my reaction or both of our reaction…
And I'm also very sure, she likes to do it sometimes, just to stir us…
But then again…
Hai… it's kinda cute of her when she does that,
So, tell me, how I'm going to discipline her?
