Get down on your knees and Pray!!--- 24 Season 5

HAHAHA!! you know where the above come from?
and I say it in a cheering tone, it's because, it's kind of funny when I saw it..

if you have watched '24' Season 5, somewhere in the middle, I can't remember what time...
when the terrorists threaten President Logan, to give them the Russian President's motorcade route to the airport, so that they could assasinate him...
Logan was reluctant to give in, but then, he didn't fight long, and then... he gave up the motorcade route...
but then, the first lady, was very disappointed with him, the fact that, he didn't even fight any longer with the terrorists, but then, gave in to their threat and betrayed the Russian President, who's just signed a treaty with America..

So, the story went on...
the terrorists were all ready to wait for the motorcade to arrive at that turning so that, they could 'bajooka' them!!
Just prior to the time, the assassination time...
as Logan eventually found out that his own wife was with the Russian President, in the motorcade,
that put him in another difficult situation again... whether he should inform the motorcade, to ask them to reroute, that could save the Russian Presiden, and his own wife, or... he should just let it be, and let the assassination carry on..
as, if he informed the motorcade, then, the terrorists will release the nerve gas, in whereever they could think of..

In the end, he decided to let it be...
and that time, his advisor Mike Novick was with him, Mike just stared at him, waited for his response, to see if he would inform the motorcade..
the next thing he did, was put his arm on Mike's shoulder, and told him this, "the only thing we can do now, is to pray!"
well... I thought that's a way of speech, and to my surprise...
he really pulled Mike aside, and made him kneel down to pray together with him...
... they prayed..
and I laughed... what a useless and ball-less president!!! (oops, mind my language, but then, sometimes, it's good to err... swear, dirty words, kakakakaka!)

The terrorists, did eventually bombed the motorcade, but then, just before that second, CTU somehow found out from their own INTEL (intelligence) that, the motorcade would be under attack, and informed the secret services who're with the motorcade...
therefore, somehow the Russian President and the First Lady were safe...

OK... after all the above 'history' of where I get the title from...
what I actually want to mention is... just last weekend, something happened to my husband's project..
it involved data backup and restore, but not his part..
well... I won't go into details of this...
but what happened was, some data need to be restored and the person who's supposed to know how to do it, didn't know how to do it..
and this will affect the next business day... (somehow!!)
my husband sounded very very very very worried (it's really very worried!!)
and well... since I've been involved with some data backup/restore business... I was more confident in all this.. but then, I was very very very worried for him... (it's funny that, sometimes, your mood is just simply the other person mood, or vice versa)
so, I went online, found this always-cool guy, and asked him about those backup/restore issue... well... from the conversation, it really was not really going to be a very problematic problem solving...
but... like I mentioned to my husband during that time, when I got to know the issue... I told him (cos, it's not his part, or his team's part, however it's a chain reaction thing, but then again... there's nothing much he could do, or there's nothing much anybody could do, except those techy people)
since there's nothing much he or anybody can do, that night..
I suddenly thought of Logan's situation.. the above situation that I just describe...
so, I told him, maybe we all should get down on our knees and pray, just like Logan did...

well... in the end... this issue was solved... that night...

Jack Bauer saved the Day

Oooh, Hoooh!!!!!!
Finally he got it... this year, 58th Emmy Award, Outstanding Lead Actor in Drama Series--->Kiefer Sutherland,
Jack Bauer my hero!!!! :-)
so happy... well... it paid the day...
I sat down in front of the TV, just for this moment...
Yep... if you've been following from Season 1 all the way to Season 5, you know, it's time for Jack/Kiefer to be acknowledged...
and he's changed from a slightly more subtle agent, I mean, Jack... well... to me, Jack is Kiefer, and Kiefer is Jack... :-) too bad :-( Tony and Michelle were not in the picture... :-(
Anyway... on top of the "Outstanding Lead Actor", '24' was also awarded as "Outstanding Drama Series", so, worth my 5 years time (not really 5 years, just to exaggerate, I first watched it since end of 2004) of behaving like a real die-hard fans... ie. nothing but '24', nobody but Jack Bauer!!

On the stage, the humble but yet serious Kiefer Sutherland (yep... maybe I have seen too much of Jack Bauer in him, can't imagine any funny joke blurted out from him, I'll definitely laugh, if he's trying to tell a not-so-funny joke, unlike the rest of the guests, most of them were pretty humorous on stage)
oops... these ARE what he said, and only things that he said...

"What a nice evening this has been for us; my father's sitting over there," he said, pointing to Donald Sutherland, who also was nominated for his role in "Human Trafficking." "We're going to have to have dinner now.

"Every once in a while, you're going to have an evening that reminds you that you have too much," he said.

Hurray!!!! Really can't wait for Season 6 to be aired... oh.. as well as '24' the movie, hopefully it'll come true

Actually... I was even hoping that, both Itzin Gregory (stupid bad President Logan) and Jean Smart (First Lady) would also win both "Outstanding Actor in Drama series", and "Outstanding Actress in Drama series", but too bad... hopefully next year, they will outperform the rest, however, I guess, it will be less chance for Itzin Gregory... :-( I hated him so much that, I think, he deserves a trophy... :-) come on!! he's crowned the worst US President in the US film history... :-). While for Jean Smart, even though she's err... kinda old, however, I don't know why, I kinda find her to be a very attractive woman... attractive when she's the First Lady, and when she was on the red carpet tonight.

Anyway... I know I will see more of her next year, in Season 6, so, it doesn't matter... :-)

"24" - Respect!!

well... ya, that's the event that happened between this 2 hours, on day 5!!

2+1 men, that I want to mention :-)
The secretary of DOD, :-( (Crying out loud and salute to him!!)
James Heller, he didn't listen to Jack, but thought that, he could convince President Charles Logan to quietly step down. However at the very last minute, when Henderson manage to get the evidence that will implicate Logan, Logan changed face, and in return, force Heller to resign.
On the way out from the Presidential Retreat, Heller was followed by a chopper. Henderson told Jack that, if he's not safe, with the evidence, the people on the chopper will shoot Heller...
Jack called Heller who's driving, to confirm what Henderson had just said... and not to put Jack in the difficult situation, while admitting that it's his fault that he didn't listen to Jack and caused such difficult situation, he drove himself out to the cliff into the late... in that 1/2 a minute... decision making is fast... even too fast for Jack to take any reaction.
What a respectable military man!!! hai...

Man No.2, the pilot of the diplomatic flight, 520
His response to Jack's demand is very strict, but respectable... he didn't bother to waste time to talk to, or negotiate with Jack, simply he didn't think that Jack was genuine that time. Come on!! Jack hijacked the plane... haha... it's cute, cos, he, Jack, himself spoke and acted like a terrorist.. that's cute!!
Jack told the pilot that he's a federal agent, and there's something that will implicate the national security on the plane and he needs to find out the person. The pilot just told him, he'll still fly the plane back to the airport, according to protocal, and if Jack IS a federal agent, he'll know what to do, and cut off the line...
Then, when Jack found out that, it's the co-pilot, who's having the evidence (that Henderson passed to him earlier on, right after he took it from Jack) and told him that, this co-pilot is changed the last minute before the plane took off...
Being a man with brain and heart, he confirmed the fact himself.. and quietly, good-timingly, opened the latch of the pilot cabin door... and let Jack in!! hurray!!!

Anyway, just thought that, when he's kicked out of the CTU office, by the homeland people, scenes involving him, and especially when Chloe went to his house to continue helping Jack, who is, at that time, hijacking the plane, is kinda cute... :-)
