See... I guess, everybody's a button in there, the RED button, once it's pressed, kaboom!!!! (or, japanese, “dok-kan”!!)
My RED Button??? ya, press at your own risk!!
1. sulk over dinner, (or breakfast, or lunch) OR “ah jee ah joh” over dinner, or complain about food, about people, about almost everything, over dinner, get it?? i'll just loose my appetite, and loose my mood, for the day.. of course, if it's over dinner, then, it'll be just a few hours more for me to pass, for the day!! as for me, mealtime's very precious, even if today, I've to eat just a salted egg with plain rice, I'll eat with my cheerful heart... what's there to sulk??? at least, I don't have to go out on the road, to dig the rubbish, or try to find some leftover in the restaurant, and bring home to eat, I've always wanted to have my meal with a cheerful and grateful heart... many people may not know about this side of me, that's why, most of the time, if people asked me, “is the food nice??”, I'll answer, “yes, very nice!!”... and I'm serious!!
2. if I'm just making a fair comment, (it may be crude sometimes, but it's a fair statement) and you start sulking!! that's THE END OF THE DAY!! for both of us...
3. if I'm already drop-dead tired, and you actually still have the heart to make joke with me (besides asking me and showing me concern of how I am feeling) which you think is funny, but I SERIOUSLY WILL NOT LAUGH AT IT, that's also THE END OF THE DAY!! for both of us, remember one rule??? joke, is supposed to be funny, or at least, amusing, for both the teller and the “receiver”, if only 1 person's finding it funny, it's not a joke, and I tell you again, it's not funny!! Ha~~~ worse of all, I tell you, this type of people, ONLY THEY CAN MAKE FUN OF YOU, BUT NOT THE OTHER WAY ROUND, and if you decide to retaliate, or show that you're upset, they call you petty!! pueh! What insensitive creatures they are!!
4. don't put me with a person who never likes to get his hands dirty!! (like my previous post), this type of people, have all the bad plots in their mind, but they just get others to do it for them, and manipulate it in a way so that, people thought they're good!! pueh!! please!! I know your trick!! just like my ex-2face colleague, full of bad plots in her mind, but she just won't get her hands dirty to do it, instead, she asked you to go do it, (go ask, go question, go answer, go go go, my #%@^#) so that, if anything happens, or when the situation get backfired, they can just wash their hands off, clean!!! and that they can use their clean hand clean finger to start pointing!! bravo!!! my RED button will sure go dok-kan!!!
5. second last, an ORANGE/RED button, it depends on the extent it'll get into... ie. Non-stop commenting regarding the food OVER THE DINING TABLE!!! I do not know why people tend to be “food commentator” when they're having the precious meal most of the time, as similar as what the midwife at our ante-natal class said, “only after you give birth, then, suddenly everybody's an expert in child/baby-care”... like I said again and again, I think, mealtime's a very sacred time, and commenting, or complaining too much about the food in front of you, what more to say, the food that you're going to, later, stuff into your own mouth and down into the stomach, doesn't do any good to you... if the food's bad, then, just shut up and don't eat, if the restaurant's bad, then, just shut up and leave, why comment and complain, and yet stay and eat?? will it have good image on you? Or, will it do your health extra good?? or will it make you any smarter?? nah, I don't think so!! speaking of this, I truly and seriously appreciate my bunch of friends, who, traveled Suzhou, China together, I remember we went to this eating place where the local tour brought us to, it's something like a cafeteria in a factory in extreme rural place, 3 dish 1 soup in a WET tray!!! I was blessed with having them, not complaining or even making any comment during that time, but we finished the food... like I said, MANY MANY MANY !%$#@^#^^$^ TIME!! food's precious, and we should be grateful of whatever we have for the day... yes, we can comment, but NOT DURING THE DINING TABLE, and if you do comment and EVEN COMPLAIN, make sure you just have some guts and balls, to not go back the same place again!! why bother??
6. lastly... this is an ORANGE button, which says, choong's particularly put-off, when seeing certain people, who're in fact, NOT FILTHY RICH, but act, talk, and behave like he's a lot of money, in chinese we call this type of people, 肥油暴发户! “肥油”是我自己加的。As, I've always regard real rich people will not, from time to time, trying to show that, they're RICH!!! only semi-rich people (in fact, they're just medium income) will like to behave like they're the big “see tao” or “see tao poh”, oh... one good example is this blog, I particularly like the way the blogger pointed that out,http://www.mariahlc.com/chnblog/?p=1640 sigh... some people!!! it's also something like (cantonese saying) “sek siu siu, ban doi biu”, this one is, “travel siu siu, ban doi biu”!! pueh!!
another example, is those, who sikit-sikit, like to complain, or scold the waiters/waitresses in the restaurant..., oh, now, my button turns RED!! well, I know that, service level in our country sucks, but then, I seriously do not like to dine with people who like to scold the waiter/waitress, cos, JUST LIKE WHAT I'VE JUST SAID VERY EARLY, MEALTIME is very sacred to me!!! and the air shall be filled with grateful and cheerful hearts, but not sulky, spiteful, and sour mood!!
That, I've always remember when my vietnamese team leader told me, he used to have just ONE egg, for the whole family for dinner... when it was during those BAD time in vietnam!! when he told me that, I was like, “huh?? just 1 egg??” yep, just 1 egg, and today... we go to kopitiam, by standard, it's 2-half-boiled eggs in a bowl, how lucky we are and how blessed we are!!! (that, being that, it doesn't stop me from complaining and despise our politician, and therefore our government, nor it doesn't stop me from complaining and condemning about the SUPER DUPER SLOW STREAMYX/CELCOM connection!! though I feel like throwing pails of red paints onto the Telekom Tower, but will I scold their employee?? I guess not, simply to save my breath!! cos, it's nothing that they can do about it, it's the PEOPLE UP THERE!!)
