There is Santa Claus

see!! people are weird, or, I'll say, people really have nothing better to do... (sometimes... ooh, especially the american! see!!! even to breastfeed or not to breastfeed, they need to argue on and on and on, do write up, publish paper..., then, to breastfeed in the public or not, they need to make such a big hoohah!!! then, to co-sleep or not... again, they make such a big hoohah, I guess, their common sense sucks, sometimes...)

and now, "whether to tell your kids, if there is/isn't a Santa Claus", sometimes, is still debatable...

come on!!! give me a break...

a simple kid's story book, can tell you, how to tell your kids...

if you bother to learn...

I love Usborne publication...

in fact, though, those books are targeted to children, BUT I thought, by reading to my baby... I learn a lot from there,

particularly, the story of chocolate, and now...

nearing the festive season,

on... how the people around the world celebrate christmas!!!

and why you guys wanna debate if there's santa claus, or if santa claus exist??

yes, there is, he's St. Nicholas!! that's all...

see!!! the american, they buy tonnes and tonnes of presents to their kids during christmas, and yet, they fail to tell their kids...

christmas is about giving... and St. Nicholas, is a giving person...

bla!

That’s what I thought…

Hehe… not complaining, not ranting, just a thought…

It's about christmas gift exchange…

When I was small, I was a member of the Girls' Brigade from the local church… (methodist church, though I'm a roman catholic…)

And I remembered… every year, we've gift exchange,

Ok… now I think of it, it's all girls, right?? You'll argue…

Anyway… what we do is, each of us will buy a gift, put in the pool, drawlot, then, yes… gift exchange, in the end?? Whatever you get…

However… I just found out, we don't do this anymore…

Maybe, yes, you get the point, there're little girls, and little boys… how to "exchange"?

But on the other hand, I thought, it kills the thrill… if you don't "exchange"…

Maybe I've not kept up to the "modern" world lately… still living in my childhood memory…

Ok… it's a small group, so, we give the kids, gifts… just like we give the chinese new year's "ang pow"…

Get it??

But then, serious, I thought, that kills a bit of the thrill…

And that made me think that… nowadays, parents are rich…

Many years ago… there's only 1 Toys R Us in town… but lately, there're so many of them… almost in all the major shopping malls… you'll find one…

Why? Cos, parents nowadays, are more willing to spend, ie. they're richer…

Ok…  back to the gift exchange thing…

Reason given's boys and girls play different thing…

So, it must be a toy??

It must have difference like boy's toy, or girl's toy?

Ok… anyhow I'll get something universal…

And it doesn't have to be a toy right??

Cos, it's a christmas present… ^_^

Anyway, just a small thought…

The main point, after such long whatever blabber that I've written, is only that…

We're richer nowadays…

That we can afford a few gifts, for a few kids…

Rather than just buying 1 toy, and send our kid for the gift exchange party, and hopefully that, she/he'll get something that she/he will like…

Nowadays… wow~~

On this Day…. 2009-12-25

I've 2 great Christmas presents… ^_^

On top of that, baby turns 9 months, on this day itself… ^_^V

Though, 25th Dec is not her birthdate, is nothing near her birthday, but for the first year, counting month by month,

On this day, marks the beginning of her 10th month milestone…

I've 2 great Christmas presents… and that, I'm joyful!!!

First, we finally managed/decided to bring baby to church… ^_^V,

Wow, there're so many babies in the church… (happy!!)

Sitting next to us, was another baby girl with her parents, grandmother, aunties, 2 days older than baby, but much smaller… kakakakaka!!!! And the grandmother said, "girl, is anyhow smaller!" (thinking that, I was hugging my baby boy!!)

I smiled and told her, "she's a girl too!!", kekeke!!!!

(in fact, I wanted to bring baby go church long time ago, ie. during easter day, but that's just around 1 month after she's born, and I was adapting to my motherhood life, and therefore, we abolished the idea, of course, as a catholic, I don't think, this is a good excuse to be forgiven though…)

Second… yippee!! I managed to fit into my pair of pants, pants of 2005, when I bought it in s'pore, bossini, while he's posted there…

Well… all these while, I've not have the "courage", to look at any pair of pants of mine, purchased in the PAST, as my size keep shooting up…

It's just UP UP and UP!!!

And finally, on this day, I managed to fit in, zipped up!! Kakakakakaka!!!

And therefore, I was joyful, and still am joyful!!

Ps: The priest in the church mentioned the season only starts from the 25th December, till the day Jesus was baptized…

Ps2: 1 more extra "present" which I got a couple of days ago, ie. an iomega ext. hdd., kekekekeke!! Yippie again!!!
