Songs of the Seasons...

I'm sure when every one of us listen to our favourite music… there's some pictures in our mind…

That'll be interesting to know right?? Just like… our dreams… I mean, dreams we dream at night…

There're only  certain songs I like… I mean, like to the extent I can listen to it, over and over again…

And of course, throughout the years that when I grow older, my taste changed…

As of now… my type of music, tend to be the quiet type…

But there's some, like Radiohead, quiet, yet rock… ie. alternative rock… hehehe…

These 2 music - instrumental that I've just uploaded…

It's not one of my 'quiet' music that I can listen over and over again… however, these 2, remind me of certain seasons of a year…

Late spring, midsummer, early autumn, late autumn, early winter…

These are the time of the seasons I like… and these 2 pieces remind me of these seasons… particularly,

Late spring, or the whole autumn itself… ya, I'm an autumn person…

Secret Garden - though it's an "ang mor" piece… it just keep bring me to this old Shanghai place… maybe somewhere in the Fuxin Lu, or some small hutong (small lane)… autumn...

Haha… sometimes, I wonder if that's my past life…

Then… there's Canción Triste (it means "sad song"), reminds me of somewhere in europe, a small town… late autumn, early spring…  haha!!!

All have a little big of 'romanticism' in there… that's my definition…

有些歌，讓你想起有些地方，

不一定你親身到過那個地方，

可能夢中曾經相見，

然而，這些歌，讓你在腦海裡，去了那個地方，那個季節，千百回。

這兩首音樂，就是這樣，

它讓我想到季節，

中文名稱較好聽，又或者我的英文不夠勁。

晚春，仲夏，初秋，晚秋，初冬，

我最喜歡的季節，秋。

那種不想冬天的寂靜，

卻又沒有春天的喧鬧，

我喜歡這類的音樂。

它也讓我幻想著，

自己身在另一個過度，

百年前，上海市的一個角落，

也可能是復興路，或者任何一個上海市的小胡同。

靜靜的，

悲悲的，

有點兒浪漫，

卻又有點而含蓄的快樂。

這是我的音樂。

Shanghai not Shanghai

While we're having our first sichuan food in klang valley @ Jin Shan Cheng @ Sunway Mentari,

We're chitchatting away, waiting for the food to come…

Most people went there for the "ma la" steamboat, ie. sichuan spicy steamboat, but we went there to try out the sichuan style "fish in the big basin", which I've been longing for, ever since we left Shanghai 4 years ago!! (sob sob!!)

And of course our chitchat is nothing more than just plain talk…

That's what we talk most of the time… we do wonder what other couples talk when they're together… (haha!! Busybody right?? But we seriously do wonder, sometimes, we could spot couple, not even married couple, probably just dating couple, they could just sit at the table, while waiting for their food, silence! And if you do talk, normally what's your topic?? Mind to share??)

He asked when will we plan to go to shanghai again, I mentioned that I wanted to, but he's not interested, (and yes, now he asks!!)

Nevermind…

So, he asked, if we're back in shanghai, what do we want to eat,

I immediately listed down all my "dream" food!!! (see!! They've been in my mind ALL THESE WHILE!)

1.   Of course, "Duo Li" (I think, they use an english name, TONY) sichuan spicy fish in the basin!! (no need go to go "Yu Xing", just "Duo Li" will do!!)

2.   Quan Ju De's Peking Duck!!! Damn sure, peking duck peking duck, they cut their duck in a way where there're more meat "attached" to the skin, as compared to most of the peking duck "provider", where normally what ended up in your piece of pancake's just plain duck skin, and I missed the dishes that come after, ie. the dish they cook, (I think it's for free) with the "leftover"…

3.   Somewhere in Pudong, the branch, Hangzhou's Zhang Sheng Ji's "Lao Ya Bao", ie. Old Duck Pot!!

Yummy yummy yummy!!!!

Ya, afterall… none of them is shanghainese food, kekekeke!!!

"Chee Na" Man Winter

nearly a week, here, chilly night,
DAMN HOT DAY TIME!
but chilly night…
ever since baby caught her cold (I guess, fully recovered now, except that, she’ll kinda have runny nose when she wants to sleep)
we’ve not been putting our air-conditioning to full blast!
but then, hey!! it seems better, we open all the doors, windows, put the thermostat to 25-27 deg.C,
and in fact, it’s just nice, cooling and comfortable…
approaching the morning, it actually gets pretty cold, if not chilly (cos, we have our window wide opened)

and sometimes, when I’m still awake, lying halfway, nursing, I looked out of the window…
looking at the quiet road (as the day’s not started yet)
it reminds me of winter…
winter’s just around the corner..
and it reminds me of the cold wave from upnorth beginning of this year…

I told him about my thoughts,
and I told him that it reminds me of winter, but definitely not ‘ang mor’ winter…
he then asked me, “where?”
I asked back, “I’ve not been to many cold ‘chee na’ man’s place, where else?”
“shanghai!”

yep, remind me of shanghai, when winter was approaching…
pueh! m’sian, even if one day snow, or gets damn cold, it’ll never resembles anything like the western countries, it’ll only be something like some china’s county.. and NOT EVEN JAPAN’s, ok!!!!!
