of 3 main health upkeeping...

Ok, I read health articles, not to the extreme, ie. follow strictly, but I do read,
I read those from the west, and I read those from the east…

At the end of the day,
Same as parenting,
I kinda think that, we're still chinese,
We can't really follow the western parenting 100% though we'd like to, but it's just not in our blood,
Though, we don't agree with the parenting style from our ancesters either…
Dilemma, right??
However, follow your base…
If you want to follow the west, be it, and be ready for the outcome, you get what I mean???
Same as parenting,
It goes with health,
Do you think…
You and me, east and west are just the same?
Nope, we're of different built…
The west, everything eaten raw is good, they're kinda extreme,
The east? It's not like everything MUST be cooked, but to the east, the way of being healthy, is WARMTH,
That's why, now I understand, why during confinement and whatsoever, our parents are just soooooooooooooo extremely "careful" in telling us to keep warm,
But then, I've my own set of theory, which I'll put it aside…

Straight to the point now,
3 things I notice,
Blending whatever crap I've read,
It may not work for you, but sure for me, I only need one-liner kind of reminder,
First, yes, we've gotta keep our body warm, ie. exercise, qi-gong, to me, I'll add, drink some alcohol, ^_^,
The optimum body temperature, in fact is slightly above 37C but then, at present days, cos we move less, our body temperature is generally below 37,
So my point is, the goal is to keep warm,
How? Up to you…

Second,
Which I've read lately, and I think it's kinda true…
Eat less… I really love to eat, and I really can wallop a lot, look at my size, you'll know… everything's BIG! ^_^
Anyway, you would tell me all sort of reasons, and bla bla bla bla bla, why need to eat less, and bla bla bla bla bla…
The one liner which works for me is,
The more you eat, the faster you die!
That's it!

Third,
Similar to the above,
In japanese drama, LAST HOPE, (I've not watched, but I saw somebody sharing it in weibo, I'll watch later, ok? It seems to be a good series for this season, fast and flaky, unconventional, therefore, I like it!)
The senior explained to the junior,
Ie. every individual's heartbeat is 15mil time in a lifetime,
The faster you beat, the faster you die, for eg. When you gamble…
And therefore, qi-gong, zen and etc type of lifestyle is what I'm after, and what I'm recommending…
Exercise? Yes, best is qigong, to me, taichi, or yoga…
THAT, you exercise, and you learn the zen way of moving and living…

3 points,
Simplify further?
WARMTH, and ZEN!

Period!

Mercola, not… Mercola… ooh...

I've been following his blog, or whatever he's writing, ever since he mentioned of his name, about EMF…
    Ok ok…
I'm not going to talk a lot more and into details about Mercola, seriously, no need…
I'm just here, to summarize things for myself…
    As I read…
    See, EMF,
Anything that’s transmitting, is no good,
Anything that helps transmitting, is no good,
Ie. handphone kills, spring mattress kills… and yes, because of that, I aimed to change my mattress to latex, ie. Napure, or Tempur, whichever I can afford, and for your information, don't bother to change to IKEA latex, though I have one, not used on regular basis, it's placed in his hometown's house, for baby and me, whenever we go back, frankly, latex is quite nice to sleep on… and I quite like the idea, cos, I kinda like anything that the Japanese do… (not not all things though… I'll share with you later!)
    Anyway,
    To summarize,
  1. Vitamin D, and it must be D3,
  2. I've come across Mercola mentioning about this, zillion time, yes, I don't really read through all his article, I supposed, he does have a team who writes for him, who does research for him, ie. they can really publish a lot of articles, in one day, and it's not like those articles that normally people will write, it's lengthy, in a way, "professional" articles, that's why, I skipped most of them, and I skipped most of it if I happened to be reading one of them…
Anyway, for me, I don't bother about sun exposure, die-hardly… cos, according to him, the Vitamin D from sun, will only be beneficial if we leave it on our body for 48 hours, ie. after the exposure to sun, don't rinse with soap… see see!!! In this place, how can it be done? Tell me…
    Furthermore, sunblock, are all cancer-causing...
  3. Whey Protein,
  4. Ya, he said, he's having that, for breakfast everyday!
  5. Fatty Oil
  6. Yes, deep sea fish, or other fatty oil, as he said, avoid sugar, but not fat! So, look for low-sugar, but not low-fat! Hm… kinda suiting to my liking, so, ok, I follow… ^_^
  7. Vitamin B12
  8. Dental,
  9. Well, according to him again, no dentist will admit, but then, the dental fixure, or whatever thing you've done to your tooth, you think it's good, it may cause something bad eventually… anyway… anyway… too late, I've all in my mouth, mercury, or whatever to fill up the hole in your tooth, and root canal… sigh…
    Bye then! Good luck!

We're stronger than we think... we are~~

yep... we're stronger than we think we are...
I like to tell this to friends who needs encouragement, and help... and maybe a bit of advice... (though, sorry, I do tend to give lengthy advice... I'll cut it next time, ok?? ^_^)

see... just last friday, I went into the operation theatre, for my cesarean, well, for my second baby, a baby boy...
(I'll have another entry about my pre-cesarean experience, cos, that's another lengthy one I'll make... kakaka!)

but then, today, approaching another friday (scary, time really flies, so fast, 1 week!)... oh, ya, I went into the OT in the evening, but now, it's early friday, ok, maybe just 6 days...
I thought I've recovered pretty well...
but of course, if you ask me, I'll say, it's the power of prayer, maybe the power of love...
I've been praying for speedy recovery, and smooth operation, yes, it all went well... the operation, the recovery...
and there I prayed, because of the love of my family, my daughter, my husband, I can't afford to be bedridden for a long period right?? and I need to take care of the newborn, take care of my precious baby madeleine (ok, she's a toddler now, but like I've told her, she's THE baby!!) and also, resume our daily activities, as a housewife, as a stay-at-home mother, to take care of my husband, take care of the household... and of course, there's also, love from God...

yes, everything went well...

as of today,
despite the swollen feet that I'm having,
hm!! in fact, I did not have, all because last night, I chose to sleep on the sofa, sitting position, and I laid my legs downwards... for long period...
and that, I guess, all the water went down? @_@

and today, I'll move back to our bedroom, one whole family cramped together (how sweet!) and Gabriel back to his crib...

I write this, it's because I myself is pretty surprised on how well our own body can recover and heal by itself...
of course, with good rest, healthy food, healthy drinks... I supposed...
just 2 days ago (tuesday) when I first get home, that's my condition : belly painful, not too painful though, tolerable, the irritating one is the bottom and the back pain, due to the hospital bed... and getting up and down the bed (my bed) seems to be a little bit tough... therefore, last night, I opted for the sofa, but that's a bad choice...

and just yesterday, though I've much improved, it still take a bit of effort for me to get up from the couch...
but then, today?? I'll say, all went pretty well...
I can get up from the couch easier, and I took my first shower...
yuck isn't it??
for once, I listen to "public advice", that I'll not shower immediately, but tomorrow, I'm going to see my gynae, so, I'd better shower... and like I told him, under the microscope... probably the dirt's a few mm thick... yuck!

but then, compared to my first childbirth, at this point in time, I think, I could manoeuvre easier...

IF NOT BECAUSE I'M CHINESE,
AND IF NOT BECAUSE CHINESE HAS ALL THESE THINGS ABOUT CONFINEMENT,
I guess, by the end of next week,
I can actually go out and run around and shop and live like usual...
and of course, as expected, even my dear husband will not allow me to do so...
he'll make sure that, I'll be CONFINED, for 1 month!!!!!!!! anyway,
he's done a great job to be the CONFINEMENT MAN! yes, this time I skip that, no confinement lady,
only confinement food catered.. and I've to say, it's good...
it's just pity that, my husband's to do the cleaning job... plus taking care of my dear daughter...
though, my dear daughter, again, Praise to God, she's been behaving...
and everything went well...

Praise to God...

The Priceless...

something... something is just priceless... in my opinion, in life...
which everybody's already known... but I'll just have to say it again, cos, it's timeless... too...
one is our family,
one is our health...
family - we may quarrel, argue, sometimes, even turns out like enemies... but like the chinese saying, "blood's thicker than water", somehow, the bond's there...
but it doesn't mean that, no blood bond, equals to no bond...
anyway...
you know what I mean...
yes, we may complain about our siblings, or parents on and off...
but today, if you've finished your university... (unless you're an orphan, or abusive parents, that's different story) under the care of your parents...
and if you've got an almost OK career... (no career's consider perfectly OK!)
or, if you've already started a family, with kids,
and in your memory, besides, sometimes, being scolded by your parents for not doing your homework, other than that...
whatever that's happened in the past, for eg. parents argued sometimes, or bla bla bla bla bla... or parents really scolded you hard sometimes... because of some bad things that you've done...
as long as, you don't come from a broken family, ie. abusive/alcoholic/whatever-damaging-stupid-addiction parents...
I guess, you and me, are just OK...
if you're reading this blog, with a lightened heart, (not a heavy and hateful heart)
then, I guess, you and me, are just OK...
and just because of this, "just OK",
let me tell you, and let me tell myself...
that, we should say thanks, to our parents...
if you've kids today, you'll know that, nobody's perfect, and thus, no parent is perfect...
so, don't be too harsh on your parents...
especially, they're getting old...
maybe sometimes, you look at their face...
maybe some small acts that they do,
disgust you (sorry to say), but no matter what, they're your parents, (yes, choong! they're your parents!)
they've at least bought proper baby formulae for you before,
have bought nice cute baby clothing for you before,
changed your diaper before,
potty-trained you before,
fed you (with or without patience, I don't know LA!) before when you've just learnt how to chew on solid food, bla bla bla...
and they've sent you to proper school,
bought some additional reading materials for you,
sent you to tuition class...
please! don't think that, all these are BY DEFAULT!
even as kids, as their children, nothing would come easy, nothing would be BY DEFAULT...
I'm not saying that, our parents might not have wanted to do all these... but sometimes,
not everybody CAN (capability wise, mentally wise, health wise, financial wise, bla bla bla bla bla...) afford to give us all these...
and that...
if you're what you're today,
and you've not been through hardship...
say thanks to your parents...
and say thanks to the Almighty God in Heaven, who gave us our parents... who're caring... and and careful...
like I said, nobody's perfect, thus, no parent will be perfect,
including you and me now, and including you and me, in the future...
as what I have told my friend, therefore, nobody dares to write, "how to be 100% parent/mother"...
cos, there's nothing as 100%,
you force your kids alllllll the way, to achieve the greatness high in his study, maybe somebody will still jump out, and tell you that, you've ripped off his childhood, his play time, and too much stress for him and bla bla bla...
I suddenly feel like blabbering and blabber... in this manner...
it's because I've just watched (not finished yet) a taiwanese series, "Gloomy Salad Days" (死神少女)

... to be continued in another blog entry...
