ya, since i'm back to square one..., no facebook, no twitter...

i can ONLY(99.99% true, of this statement) be contacted via email...

i thought about the years i've spent my time on email...

i started with eudora back in Uni... as i'm not an I.T. grad at all... i've no idea what a pop mail is..

and i've always wondered, why my emails appeared in one of the PC in our lab, but not in another PC...

since i discovered email... i've spent most of my time in the PC Lab, as a geo student... probably the only one...

then, my first job...

as we're on Sun SPARC machines, ie. Unix OS...

and the email client we used was netscape...

ya that time, i knew nothing about "internet explorer", (no need to even mention/dream of things like safari, google chrome, or opera)

and i only know how to launch netscape browser, and that version, you can use it as an email client too... (can't remember what version already)

I was using PINE, and I kept email, email and email…

Till my colleague asked me, if I was writing a book… ^_^

there were yahoo email, and hotmail for choice...

i came across yahoo email first, and of course, netscape email on its own, if not our work email...

yahoo email was the best in fact... and i was "bizarred" when my friend told me, she's "hotmail", i was thinking like, "what crap email is this, email and hot??"

anyway...

that's old story...

however... as i'm a great sentimental person, and due to the fact that, email storage WAS TINY in those years (cos, storage was expensive)

i ended up created many email accounts, just to store emails, and attachments, and stuff...

if you ask me, ^_^ i probably can dig out some emails sent or received, back in year <2000... kekeke!! (well... come to think of it, nothing to be proud of really, only shows that, i was already quite an otaku...)

i've even had email accounts with domain which no longer exists anymore, for eg. email.com, mail.com (still exist, but not free anymore, i think...), ivillage.com (ya, ivillage used to provide email service to users), and go.com (the one with disney)...

long story cut short...

i still kinda maintain my email accountsSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS after so many years... (don't ask me reason, simply i've nothing better to do, or i'll just say, i'm a great sentimental kind of person, like i've mentioned)

i did it in a simple way, ie. using poppeeper to check email, just to keep them activated...

and today... i'm only using gmail... as after using so many different type of mails...

web & client...

my opinion, gmail's the best webmail client...

oh, about email... there's another part of story... (to be continued)

google chrome?

Ooh, now that google chrome has added a lot (I mean, really a lot) extensions for its beloved browser…

I'm kinda happy using it.. ^_^

Cos, it's actually more "convenient" for me to use it to post my multiply blogs, rather than firefox…

Usually I'll type whatever I wanna say "offline", so, the most convenient way is to later "cut & paste", however, for some reason, firefox's multiply always have this javascript/css error pop up, when I do that, but it's no problem if I do it in google chrome,

And now that, the extension list has more or less catch up with whatever firefox's addons have…

I've more reason to use google chrome lately…

For eg. The must-have - xmarks…

Initially it's pretty troublesome to clear the cache, but I've found this "click&clear" button…

At least, for these few days, I'll use google chrome…

(ask my youngest brother, I'm sure he'll have other things to say, kekekeke!)

Yahoo! Again?? Not Again!

Ya, after my finding about Yahoo! Asia, which provide FREE email forwarding feature, (not a big deal, really, but since they've it, I use it!! As simple as that!)

I hit another problem with yahoo…

And damn yahoo, no wonder they're going down the drain, can't they just bloody CONSOLIDATE their server???

Why do they need to have so many different region settings, and each of them seems like don't "talk" to each other..

And what makes it worse is,

Damn! The NEW look and the CLASSIC look, the difference is not just the bloody LOOK, they've difference!!!

See!! I've sent out an email verification from my gmail account, to this particular yahoo account, the one that kinda lead me to my finding about Yahoo! Asia,

But many time I sent the verification code, (oh, by the way, so that, I can send via gmail, on behalf of my yahoo account, ie. I login to gmail, and I can have may emails to be 'sent from')

Many time, I'm serious, many time, the opposite (my yahoo email) just doesn't seem to be able to receive anything…

However, since I quit facebook, only left with minimal of email notification, those notifications did manage to get through whatever and pop into my yahoo email, weird!!

So, I searched and searched, and from my search result, the NEW look vs. CLASSIC look came out a couple of time…

This is then, what I did,

I changed my email server, (again)

Switched back to classic look,

Damn!! The email just flew in like that, just as usual, so, I verified, now, my gmail can send on behalf of my yahoo mail..

And then, I switch back to Yahoo! Asia…

See, I hate things that are confusing…

I simply HATE IT so much!!

So, if you're the type of person who likes to complicate stuff, do stay away from me please!!!

Yahoo's so damn confusing with their services, no wonder they're struggling, no wonder the game is now between microsoft and google,

While microsoft, which I've just posted too, their personal site is consider confusing to me too…

So, left google with me…

See, I am already a google fans, but now, it makes me even more hardcore google fans…

The problem with microsoft live.com is that,

If you want to separate products, just separate, like google's blogger, vs. picasa, vs. email, fully separated in the look and feel,

Then, you don't mix things up together, which is just like the live.com, please refer to my earlier entries.. If you do bother,

If you still do not know how it feels like, just create one for yourself, and you'll know what I mean,

I hate people who complicate stuff,

And I also hate people who 'half-half'… a lot of things, it's between yes and no, or black and white,

Grey's created by looser who can't pick a stand…

And I'm damn sure, there're many loosers around now…

That's why, there're a lot of people who tells you, there's no right or wrong, (ok, I sometimes do that too! So, I'll be a looser, whenever I say that)

Anyway… that's my yahoo experience,

I still keep it, all because of sentimental value…

Yahoo was once, better than hotmail, ie. microsoft,

And now… sigh… I seriously think they should just close shop, or at least look for a decent buyer…
