Yep, I still continue tweeting… tweet tweet and tweet…
I don't spend much time on facebook, though the page is remained logged on most of the time…
The majority of my time's on google reader, and twitter in fact…
See, it came a long way…
I used to subscribed to newsletters, tech news, science news, health news…, lastly entertainment news, or, before facebook came onboard, there's this yahoogroup for fans of XXX and YYY, and bla bla bla...
All thrown into my mail boxes… yep, that's part of the reason, why I ended up with so many mailboxes to manage…
Cos, 1 is for tech news, 1 is for healthy news, and so on…
Lately, I find out that most of the website, cnn, bbc, zdnet, betanews, eweek, information week, IT world, etc, have "follow us/me on Twitter", if not facebook…
From mailboxes… I consolidate them to my gmail,
Then, some of the websites have rss feed, so, I use gmail reader to feed…
If those news feed that I'll most of the time need to read the contents, rather than just the headlines… for eg. My health news, my science news…
Ie. most of them are in my google reader, and of course, on top of that, my google reader follows a lot of blogs (cooking, mothers, etc.) and that's where I spent my time…
And now, my twitter, even better, I like it even more…
Cos, I read those news, that I just need to know the headline most of the time, for eg. IT news, airline news/promo, some not so important health news, etc…, so, opening my twitter, is like my daily quick flip through newspaper…
The best part is, it's easier to share than using facebook… as for facebook, sometimes there isn't a share button for you to share…
And as for facebook, it's just too long the 'miles' to scroll down and down…
To make things even more interesting…
I found seesmic… (of course, you've to register an account with them, oops, another registration to do)
One of the tech website commented, seesmic is just like gmail to web email client… and there it is, really look a alike, sleek and simple…
One of my junior commented that, twitter is just like facebook, so, he's contented with facebook, well… to a certain extent, yes, but twitter allows me to read news, or things that I really wanna read, faster and easier… in a simple manner, facebook is a bit too graphicy, and what more to say, twitter, you can 'follow' people, but facebook, you've gotta either 'become fans'/'join group'/'add as friend', 'add as friend', sometimes you've to wait for the other person to 'permit', as for twitter, they've this feature too, but not too much, and not too many of them… for eg. I do follow tiff needle, (for his sake) on twitter, it's followable, but not on facebook… ^_^ he's not 'approved' my request to be friend yet, kakakaka!!! See!!! Oh, seems like he does update his twitter status pretty often, UK time, m'sian night…
Why seesmic rocks, just as gmail, many years ago.. When gmail surfaced…
See, the problem with twitter, (even though, with firefox, powertwitter has enhanced it nicely enough) is that, I need to constantly click on the 'more' to read those older timeline updates… but with seesmic, the list is longer, and whenever I scroll to the bottom, it'll refresh by itself, pretty fast…
Though, I forgot my 'preview' of pictures which powertwitter enable it with firefox browser…
Just to add… as for twitter, there're more services connect to twitter via, "oauth" - an authentication protocol,
And when I read things from google reader, I can either share it via the google reader, with other google reader users on my contact list, or, I can send it to twitter… kekekeke!!!!
Better still, whenever I update my twitter, or retweet news, or tweet certain pages (firefox with addons, google chrome with addons), it gets updated on my facebook too…
I tried to do it vice versa via facebook, but it seems like it's for business purposes only… bleh!!
Twitter + seesmic, oh!! I simply love my twitter!!
Come follow me!!
^_^
