this year itself, i've come across a couple of time, where i see waiter/waitress being scolded by patrons in a restaurant...
it's not a good feeling, to be "at the scene" if you ask me...

though i kinda feel sympathetic for the waiter/waitress in such case... and,
though i'll not be like those "customer is always right" type of customer who'll "enjoy" scolding those pathetic waiters/waitresses,
i kinda think that, sometimes, they need to be "scrutinized", pardon me... call me coward... who think that, they need to be "complained", but do not have the courage to do it...

for eg. we're at Kenny Rogers @ Subang Parade the other day...
when our food's finally here, the girl just drop the 2 plates in front of us, without a smile and without further checking... if the order was correct, or if we need anything else...
and ya, we did need something else, cutlery...
she conveniently left us with the food, and return to her chores at the food counter...
us, staring at the food, and couldn't start our meal, as there's no cutlery for us... o_o
he'd to get up to try to find the cutlery, couldn't find, got another waiter to get it for us...

then... straight after that, another waiter, the one stood at the reception desk, was kinda scolded by a customer with his family, who's just got into the restaurant...
i didn't know if she's given the second chance...
though at the first instance, i did feel sympathetic about her situation, but stepping back...
service level @ eateries, or, even retail outlets, are consider below average in our country...
and i'm sure, throughout so many years, those worker, or their managers were of course, given many chance... to improve...
MANY YEARS!!!!!

have they improved???
i don't think so...
and i'm not sure, how many more years will they need, to get up to the level, like those service-oriented countries...

maybe...
we'll never get there, if you ask me...
or, maybe at least not in my life time...
