yesterday, we travelled here, s'pore, he's on his business trip, and we (baby and i) tag along...
and Singapore, here we come!! hehehe... i know i know, it's just a very close neighbouring country, just across a very narrow strait... but it's kinda exciting that, this is our first family outing to, OUT OF THE COUNTRY! YIPPEE!!
and... luckily, we stopped by somewhere to have our lunch... else... i tell you, a hungry man is an angry man! ^_^, towards the end of the day, we'll sure have slight argument, cos, both will be loosing patience as we're loosing our energy... ^_^(but i'm glad that, whever we sense this is coming along, either one of us will choose to be silence, till the other person cools down...) and i've always doubted if we can go join "amazing race"...
anyway... just a brief flashback upon our arrival...
ooh... when i was "counting" the years i've not been in s'pore, it's already 5 years... gosh!!! time flies!! and definitely have flew past at a super duper fast pace... 5 years.... the last time i was here here with him, was in 2005, when he's based in a project in s'pore... and the other time where we just stepped foot for a while, was when we're on our way back to KL, stopped-over in s'pore... in 2006, that's when i bought my first pair of crocs (and that's how i started my crocs journey!)
back to our oohlong experience...
see!! for the past 1 week, when i knew that we're coming to singapore, by car... i've been researching on the routes... to the hotel that we'll be staying... he told me,it's this grand copthorne, the one that aeroline stops... where we used to take bus... ie. grand copthorne waterfront...
after we finally arrived at the hotel, he went to park the car, while i brought baby to the front desk to proceed with check-in, oops, the girl couldn't find the name, the only name that came nearest to his, is Mike Mak... hahaha!!!
i waited for him, he came up, called the secretary, ah ha!!! it's the one that's near to his work place,ie.Dunearn Road, ie. there's another copthorne hotel, ie. Copthorne Orchid @ Dunearn...
there we drove again, to Dunearn, found the hotel, suddenly, some memory flashed back, i told him, i've been here before... yep, we then recall, before we started with aeroline, we took the NICE bus to s'pore, ya... before,i found out about aeroline, which, the way they operate is more suitable for me, and the various choice of location to embark..., also the 1/2 hour before departure to collect the ticket...
well... overall, the hotel, outlook, remind me of awana genting, ie. very 'chan', (old and rundown)...
however, luckily, we're given a newly and nicely renovated room, (please check my photo album)
and being inside the room, it reminds me another place, Jun Yi Hotel, in Heng Gang, Shenzhen..., the inside, ie. our room, is new,and cosy... afterall...the most important things come to 2 in my list, with hotels... ie. the bed with duvey, (i don't like multiple sheets, they tend to get very messy at the end of the day, ie.too many sheets here and there in bed), and a good shower fitting, warm and fast running water..., so, even though, there go my great world city adventure, (it's very near to grand copthorne waterfront) i'm pretty happy with the place we're staying for these couple of days... what more to say, ooh, they've shuttle bus service hourly to orchard, little india, and botanical garden..., hehe, we like shuttle services, for some reason,i think hotels that provides shuttle services are pretty hearty... though it also says that, hotels that provide shuttle services, are kinda located at odd places... for eg. the honghum hotel that we stayed in HK, provides shuttle to tsim sar tsui, and in tokyo, our second trip, the sheraton miyako that we stayed, provides shuttle to the JR station, we simply love it, and that's the first time, baby's on a bus... and i told her, "baby, car car moving, but papa not driving, cos,we're ON THE BUS!!!~~~"
that's our first "oolong"...
the shuttle bus brings us to DFS along scott road,
we stopped there, what to eat for dinner??? ya... his favourite Soup Restaurant, 三盅兩件,
where's the nearest one?? Paragon, he said that before we came to s'pore, i did search online, but i didn't bother to remember any of them, only based on his memory,
how far to walk?? ah... not that far, so, i put baby in the sling, and we started our walking along orchard...
ya, not that far, serious... well, compare to walking in KL, the stupid thing about KL is the planning, 1 block of shopping is so damn far from the others, very unfriendly to hardcore shoppers...
we walked to paragon, found the Soup, ate our dinner...
i wanted to have the muddy mud pie so badly, cos, i didn't have mine from Friday's back in KL for a while, baby was too sleepy by the time we finished our dinner... ie. no coffee time... but i wanted to have Friday's mud pie badly... and i recalled, one of the coffee outlets here, have something similar to offer..., but i cannot recall, if it's TCC, or Coffee Club... i asked him to ask Mr. Wong, via sms, but we didn't get a firm answer... so, we took a bet, i suggested him to use his "bb" to check online... ya, the muddy thing... hehehe... then, just around scott road junction with orchard road, the wheelock place, they've a new coffee club there, and there i satisfied my cravings... ie. i put a "fullstop" to my dinner menu, kekekeke...
we were trying to catch the last shuttle, 10PM, from DFS, and we went back there, to wait for the bus, 10 min. earlier... as i do not want to risk missing the bus, cos, i hate waiting for taxi in s'pore, the queue is always damn long, and all the cabs are always "on-call", damn damn damn!!
while we're waiting for the shuttle bus to arrive, i was looking around, just to see if there's any place i can go see see poke poke in that 5-10 min. before the bus came...
and gosh, guess what i found?? A SOUP RESTAURANT, just right above the DFS... #$%@^$@^^$#!%%#^$^@%&$@$%@$#@
that makes our day!!!
(day 1)
