House Chores Ranking...

Since I'm a SAHM (stay-at-home-mother) and since we do not have any maid, I do most of the chores… and he does most of the major chores… (those heavy ones)
And since it's chores, I'm not sure if there's anybody out there, who actually loves it, or even likes it… ^_^
But there's one, that I particularly like… ^_^, I like to do launderettes, ie. putting the piles of dirty launderettes into the washing machines, wash, spin, and then, dry…
I like to flip through the piles of clean launderettes aftermath…
Though… sometimes I tend to just pile them up for later folding/storing them…

I used to hate mopping the floor…
Well, I still do, in a way, but since baby's arrival, I try to remind myself to be 'clean' more often…
And, with the new karcher 1020, cleaning the floor has been kinda a breeze to me now…
Which is bad… why? The cleaner our floor is, the more our feet will be fussy about floor cleanliness, and the more sensitive the bottom of our feet will be… arrgh… and every few days, I'll have to clean our floor, with karcher, of course…
I guess that's why my mother used to mop the floor every other day, (yep, she's very hardworking in that sense, despite the fact that, she's a working mother, she actually swept the floor everyday, and mopped the floor every other day, changed our beddings every single week, without fail… I'm not even 50% of her)

I used to hate ironing…
But somehow… thinking of the fact that, I'm ironing something that's so near and dear and close to the skin of my loves ones,
I don't mind ironing nowadays.. And that, it's become my norm task, I'll never let him do the ironing part, he's already so tired after work…
And talking about ironing… I've been 'commented' twice, by my friends, that I spoilt the market… yep, female friends,
Once, was zillion years ago, before we're married, yep, there and then, ironing was already under my territory…
And again, mother used to iron every single day, especially when we're schooling, she did the family launderette every single day too… but she can rest in peace now… as God permitted…
Oh, when I got the comment that I spoilt the market…
Well… 2 things came into my mind…
First, "oh… nowadays, gals/wives don't iron clothes anymore huh?? O.o"
Second, I kinda smile to myself… and kinda feel sweet about it… for some reason… ya, for some reason…

I used to enjoy cooking,
But with the m'sian weather, and of course, kitchen's the last place you'll install and air-conditioner…
Therefore, cooking somehow equates to sweating session…
And ever since I quit my job, I've been a practising cooking wife…
And whenever I cook, I'll on this small little KDK fan (which I put it on the kitchen floor) to blow towards me,
However, lately, I've to share it with baby… hahahahaha!!!
Cos, baby somehow inherits big mama's problem, ie. can't really withstand high temperature on a day to day basis,
I could see sweat dripping down her lovely cheek…
And therefore, one, is to entertain her, let her look at the fan turning left and right, while she's looking at me preparing dinner… one is to cool her… a little bit…
It's not to say that, I do not like cooking already… (because of the hot weather) but I kinda enjoy the task for other reason… ie. the health of our family…
Yep… he's very pleased that, the healthy cooking has kinda ahem… improved his image, his overall look, and his body… ^_^
Replace "he" with "I", ya… I'm happy too…

Last week, I invited a friend over for dinner… and she's startled at the fact that our diet has changed…
But frankly, it's not changed… it's only been altered a little bit, but not changed…
Since 2004, when I travelled with him for his work, and when I start to prepare dinner for both of us, that's what I've been cooking…
I've not bothered to learn more harmful/tastier/spicier recipe, I just don't bother…
My motto: you want those food, you can go eat outside, so, I don't really bother to learn how to make chicken kapitan, or spicy nyonya squid, etc.
Ya… kinda lame excuse for me not to learn, but why bother, and why cracking my head to compete with those professional cook out there…
And my second motto, to those who like/love to say this whenever they're dining out, "this dish, I also know how to make", my reply will be, "then don't come out and eat, and just stay at home and you cook these dishes!!"…
Oh no… that's my side-track thoughts…
Back to cooking…
Ya, I enjoy cooking, based on the result, not on the process… ^_^
Oh, and back to the alteration,
We used to have 1 soup, 1 vege, 1 meat+vege,
Now… I just alter it to 1 soup, 2 vege,
And of course, all the time, brown rice…
As the soup has already have meat, why need another 'meat' dish??
Sometimes, we go out to dine over the weekend, we've already been eating sinfully…
So, I don't really bother to put too much meat, anyway, vege's healthy, and good, and overall cheap…

In addition to that, both of us have our own 'cleaning' territory…
For eg. Kitchen's mine, and balcony's his…

Whatever that's not listed above,
Most of the time, shall be his, ^_^
Kekekeke… and plus point of that, is, they're not one of those chores that you've to do, on a daily basis...
