(that's for cantonese "ooh tiong tiong")
Just now, I actually starved baby…
Accidentally…
Cos, people say (those experts) you should not nurse baby to sleep, else, baby will relate nursing with sleeping, and that they'll need to be nursed to sleep in the future (which I do not know how long though… cos, I somehow think that, no matter what, baby will grow out of it)…
But then, before I actually witness the backfire of my nursing baby to sleep…
I myself actually connect nursing to baby sleeping…
And therefore, there're a couple of time, I FORGOT to nurse baby, cos, I thought she's not going to sleep yet…
It happened once, and I reminded myself…
But after a while, I forgot, and today, I did it again… oops!
It's like this…
We're waiting for dinner time… ie. for him to come back…
And I was doing my house chores, while baby's playing on the mattress (her playmat now)…
Then, she started being fussy… and started chewing on stuff…
Which she usually does… cos, it's her teething season now… and she mouths almost every single things, particularly stuff that's not hers!!! For eg. Remote control, (TV, air-condtioner), books, papers, etc….
So, when she started doing that, I thought it's just one of her mouthing routine, and I didn't notice, she eventually started to put anything into her mouth in a very desperate mode…
When I realized, it's kinda late, and I thought "hm… just wait for a little while more"…
Out of sudden… I actually forgot that, I could just nurse her a little bit…
Oh, my poor baby!!!
When dinner comes… she couldn't even wait a little bit more for her food…
Which I'm very sure, yes, she's damn hungry!!! PARDON ME!! BABY YO!
And then… she finished her oat… (ya, baby has a little bit of constipation, so, I decided to give her some oat, just plain oat)
After the oat… it seemed that, she still can eat… so, I gave her a little bit more of baby cereal, (those from the tubs)
All I want to say is,
What a lousy mother I am… :-(
And that, I shall remind myself constantly that, nursing does not equal to baby bedtime,
Even she knows it…!!
