Why I start reading to her, The Word!

Yep, I've been reading to her, since day one, if I remember to, and the other day, I bought an even cuter version, Bible for mother and daughter, ain't it cute?
Why?
It's not about me,
It's never about me, that's the point,
Most of the people take religion personally, and yes, to some extent, you’ve to take it personally, to be serious about it, but not personal to the extent that, you've to fight, to kill, to have war, or, to hurt others… that's not it's supposed to be…
That's why, I've always liked to quote this,
"It's far easier to fight for principles than to live up to them." ~ Adlai Stevenson
And that's what most of the people fall trap into…

Let me share this with you, most of the people, whatever "convenient" them, they call it TRADITION, and whatever that "inconvenient", they keep quiet, there're tonnes of them out there… mind you!

Anyway, I've gotta introduce it earlier to baby,
As soon as I can, why?
Cos, I'm scared,
Cos, I'm worried,
Cos, I know that, I'm not good enough, as a parent, to tell her what's ultimate right, or ultimate wrong,
Cos, I'm unconfident to bring her up as a proper person, with a proper "orientation" in life,
Cos, I'm worried that, (though I've been through heartache when our mother left us in 2008, I still consider I'm more fortunate that most of the people) I'll not be there all the time for her, needless to say, FOREVER,
At least, when I'm not around, or, when she really needs somebody, she'll know where to look for, for the morale support, for the energy, for the advice,
At least…
I know we're not perfect, and therefore, I've to put her in God's hands,
I know we'll not be there forever for her, and therefore, I've to rely on God to look after our baby…
I know we don't have all the wisdom on earth to groom her and teach her, and that's why, I've to rely on this ultimate source…

And that's why, I start reading to her, The Word!

It's honeymoon time...

Sometimes, when I sling baby, we still can hold hands… that's the good thing about baby-sling, you'll have 2 free hands…
And the other day, when we went to s'pore… haha!!! After so long haven't been traveling together, just the both of us, plus 1,
We feel like we're back to the old days when we're going out…
See… in fact, I've to thank baby for her arrival…
There're time, 2 of us were simply too busy with work, especially my work… low pay, but time consuming, and high accuracy needed ^_^ (who isn't huh??)

Then baby came to our lives… so precious,
Since having her, I immediately stopped work, despite the fact that we're still in this city, the thing is, it brought me back to the good days, when I was traveling with him, for his projects…
Wake up late, surf net, hang around doing nothing much, then, start preparing dinner, wait for him to come back for dinner…
Then, I'd wait for weekend to go downtown with him together, just to walk around the city, sip some tea, had a cup of coffee…

Now, since there's baby, life's just the same as those days, with additional bonus, ie. baby's companion…
There're people who told me that, without kid, it's like honeymoon, with kid, life will be tough…
I'm not sure if that's everybody's experience, or just that person's having some real hard time…
But then… I've to say, while we're all too busy working, in fact, there's not much time for each other, what more to say, a "honeymoon", and we just took our own "sweet" time to spend at work… came home late…
However.. Now, I'm always home, waiting, cooking, enjoying life, and watching back my favourite japanese drama, and he makes an effort to be home earlier than usual…
It's an 'improvement' for our personal lives, if you ask me…

And that, all thanks to baby, and praise the Lord~~

It`s about Love~~ (薔薇のない花屋 Bara no nai Hana-ya~) EP04 "A Past Revealed: For the 30,000 Children"; (明かされた過去~3万人の子供たちへ)

Yep… since I said, I'll resume my jdorama lifestyle… I say, I do..!!
On episode 04, titled: "A Past Revealed: For the 30,000 Children" (明かされた過去~3万人の子供たちへ )
Eiji was trying to save Shogo, knowing that, he's been abused…
Oh!! Then, I know, at any time, japan actually have 30,000 kids being abused, domestically!! Sad!
Eiji, his past, is just like Shogo, the present, therefore, he understands every single move and trait that Shogo has…
Sign of being abused…
Eventually, of course, Shogo was successfully brought way from his mother,
While Shogo was dragged and probably beaten up by his mother's boyfriend, he took his mother's mobile and typed S.O.S. to Eiji… and therefore, Eiji the hero came…
I liked that part how the producer made… everything's slow motion, no shouting, no yelling, no crying, only slow music… but SAD!!!
Before Eiji could save Shogo away from his mother, Eiji said something like this,
"the kid need to betray the parents", meaning the kid needs to realize that, he's to stay away from the parents, who're BAD!! Cos, most of the time, abused kids think that, they're bad, and therefore, they're abused!
"else, we can bring him away temporarily, but he'll eventually go back to his mother!"…
"if you try to take the kid away before he realizes it, that parents will come and say you're trying to kidnap the kid, it'll be troublesome"…
Well… I don't know that, helping an abused kid is that "complicated", ya, the easy way, is to wait for them to be abused again, with all the cuts and bruises, and probably no more life, then, you've all the evidence to call the police… but will one wait till then, and only do it??
That's why, this episode is particularly tear-shedding...
After Eiji and friends have sent Shogo to the shelter home,
Eiji had another conversation with his friends and family…
He said, when Shogo grows up, he'll start to wonder, why is life unfair to him,
And that, it'll be just like you, putting a sharp pin, into his heart, and that pin, will stay "forever" THERE!!!
Cos, he'll eventually disbelieve in true love…
Going out with girls, it's ok, but not when he really need to love somebody and learn about true love..
Cos, true love/unconditional love, by right, you learn it through your parents…
O.o (oh, something new for me, I thought you just learn about love, by chance?? Err.. Wrong again??)
Basically… Eiji's talking about himself…
And how he's his sharp pin pulled out??
Yep, that's pulled out by his so-called wife, ie. his daughter's mother, who died giving birth to their daughter…
Ie. just like my earlier post, stating a very sad opening chapter of this drama… The Flower Shop without Roses (薔薇のない花屋)
After finishing 5 episodes, 6 more to go…
I reckon, this is heavily… about love!
All about love…
Mio & Eiji,
Eiji & his so-called wife…
Eiji & Naoya and Keiko, who he accepted as "family", to stay together with him,
Eiji & Shizuku,
Eiji's so-called wife's father  daughter/wife, (oh!! He's a busy doctor, probably ignoring family members all the while, and when their beloved daughter's gone, he's to take revenge, which obviously when something "wrong", he probably didn't have time to notice)
Mio & her father, (who she seemed to hate, but yet, so concerned, as he's already at his late stage of cancer, when they found out)
I like it when Eiji told Shogo, before Shogo leave them for the shelter home,
Eiji said to Shogo, "when you grow up, or, wherever you'll be in the future, you will have ups and downs, and you'll be demotivated, unhappy about life, just bring a rose, and come to the florist in front of the train station, look for me, I'll be there for you",
Oh!! That, I cried… and now I know, why this shop doesn't sell rose, cos, it's a different meaning to Eiji…
Isn't that heart-warming, when somebody as wretched as Shogo, miraculously met somebody like Eiji (who's sharing the same childhood, most likely) who're willing to give him a hand when most needed??
Eiji's like a guardian angel to Shogo, (and probably to many other friend, like Keiko, or, Naoya??)
And it's always nice and sweet to know that, you've a guardian angel, who's always there, for you!

Let me catch up one by one first,
And I shall update, when there's something notable!!

Le Petit Prince

The other day, I was reading "le petit prince" (小王子) to baby,
Well… maybe you think that I'm ambitious, but I don't think so, just have to let her get use to holding a book, reading a book, ie. a book ^_^
Anyway…
"le petit prince", is so-called the second best-seller after the bible…, (go wiki it)
I've read a few chapters to her, where prince went to different planets, met different type of habitants, (ie. in our language, different type of people) but then…
When prince reached, the earth, met a fox, this is the interesting part, and that I'd like to share…

Prince asked fox, where were the human beings? He's been looking for one, when he arrived at earth…
And fox was bringing him round and round, and chit-chat with him, with no firm answer yet..
Then, fox brought him to a field of roses…
And prince was astonished!!
Cos, back in the little planet he owns, he's 1 rose, and 3 knee-high volcano… and he's been told by the rose over and over again, that, she's the ONLY rose in the whole world!!
So, he's pretty 'shocked' when he saw a big field, full of roses…
He became a little bit upset because of that, cos, all this while, he thought he owns a rose, which is the ONLY one in the whole world, and maybe he felt kinda cheated…

Then, fox told him something else…
When he asked fox on whereabouts to find any human,
Suddenly fox was telling him that, he (the fox) has not been tamed/trained by any human yet… 馴養
Then, prince asked fox, what does this mean,
Fox said,
"it's called building relationship between the two of us,"
Prince then asked, what's "building relationship", ie. 建立關係。
"well, to you, I'm just a fox, just like all the other fox, I mean nothing to you, and you also mean nothing to me, cos, you're just like all the other human being, just a human being, but then, if you choose to train/tame me, then, you're somebody to me, and I'm your only fox,"
Immediately, prince was enlightened!! He then thought about his dear rose, back in his planet far far away…
Then, he murmured to himself, "hm… then, I guess, the rose has tamed/trained me well…"

Yep… that's the interesting part that I thought I wanna mark it…
Ie. building relationship…
Ah… we're just like anybody, and no different from anybody, before, A RELATIONSHIP IS BUILT UP between us, and the other person…
Also have 2 eyes, 1 nose, 1 mouth, maybe slight different voice, slightly bigger ass, etc. but then, no difference…
But when there's relationship, we mean… probably the whole world, to the other person, vice versa…

Isn't it sweet??

Water Crisis~~

My mother's always told us, that, she can survive without electricity, but not without water…
And I fully agree with her… I'll probably keep telling baby too, when she understands the important of water…

See… both of us have been through the water crisis back in year, don’t know 1998, or 1999,
Where we've to get pails to go collect water from the water truck sent by government…
And that's why, till date, we still have those big pails, medium pails, small pails in our household, you just won't know when you'll need it again, though they're kinda eye-sore in the house, but then… why bother? I live in a practical world, it's all about practicality to me…

During the water crisis in klang valley,
Yep, we've to carry the pails to fetch water…
But sometimes, there's water dripping from the tap, and we're using those semi-auto washing machine, ie. you can just open up the tub and fill up the water rather than let it run from the tap..
For some reason, the tap for the washing machine, water couldn't come up, and come out, maybe the pressure was too slow, however, our sink in the kitchen, could see trail of water, and therefore, I collected the water, bit by bit, to do our launderette…
Now, I think about it, it's painful…
And that time, we're trying to minimize our change of clothes… haha!! You can imagine…

Now… also, for some reason, our launderette gets piled up very fast…
Maybe we changed our clothing more frequently, due to the increase of the climate temperature,
Or, just for some reason, I don't know…
Plus, with additional of a baby in the household, who, definitely needs clean clothing at all time…
We really have piles and piles of launderette to be done…
But it's ok, as I've posted before, I love doing launderette…

However!!!
The other day… we started encountering another water crisis again… gosh!! I really think, WATER is sooooooooo important!!!
Long story cut short:~ (point form)
Air-conditioner was down for a while, due to "stupid" layout of the compressor at the back in our backyard, which is due to "stupid" supervision by the "see tao poh", ie. ME!!
So, after dragged so long, we intended to have it fixed, 2 weekend ago!
People came and fix, try to move it to the top of the inner wall, which I knew there's a pipe running, cos, during our house renovation, I saw the contractor drilled into the pipe, and walla~~ water shoot out!!
That day, I've this feeling that, we might drill into the pipe again, just a feeling, however, since I' m not the type of person who've sixth sense frequently, therefore, I chose to ignore it…
And yes… just right there, the kid who came service our aircond and to move the compressor, drilled right into the pipe, again!! This time, on the other side of the wall..

AND, THAT'S THE MAIN PIPE TO THE WHOLE HOUSEHOLD!! He's to quickly run down to the management and call out the guy to open up the water meter room, to close the pipe…
Luckily the management person with the key was in, though both were still soaked, especially the little kid…

That weekend and that night, we survived on mineral water, and before we figured a way to fix it, we just let the water sip through the whatever seal that the kid put on, which failed to conceal 100%, and that we could take our shower for the night…

And luckily, his father's a knowledgeable man who's very well-versed in all these DIY thing…
The next morning, when he shared this "session" with the father, immediately, SELLEYS KNEAD-IT was introduced… and immediately we went to the shop to look for it…

His father confidently said that, with this, you do not have to doubt that it'll ever leak again… though, we of course, were still worried…
And therefore, there continued our "water crisis"… since we're traveling to singapore… we close the main tap again…
And therefore, after getting back home last night… we're in the "crisis", but sometimes, I think it's a good "exercise", we bath with around 1 medium pail of water each… ya, were still able to bathe, mind you!
Both of us basically minimize the wastage of water… irregardless we're showering, or bushing teeth, or whatever… ^_^

As of now… of course, I'm happily doing my piles of launderette again… after getting the management to re-open the water tap for me…
^_^V

Toilet!

http://www.blogger.com/img/video_object.png
ya, I really have to say it out, say it out, say it out!!
it's about the toilets in our country...
see...
I've been reading blogs, different mama's blogs with my google reader, (yay! google rocks!)
and one day, I came across this blog entry from one of the blogs that I subscribed..
which, serious, I feel like putting my fist through the computer screen and that it'll reach the other end, to punch that mother!

she actually wrote out clear and loud and SHAMELESSLY that, with no hesitation, she'll STEP on the toilet seat!!
(oh!! may she accidentally slip and dip her own smelly feet into her own pool of pee and poo!! and be locked inside the toilet!)
ya, she started by posting the pictures she took off the public toilet's door, a nice cartoon to remind users to be considerate and not to step on the toilet seat, COS, OTHERS NEEDT USE!
and I thought she's going to elaborate more about being a considerate public-toilet-user!!
and NO!!!! she said, without thinking twice, she'll step on it,
cos, you know what? she said, she doesn't want to sit on it, cos, so many other people have sat on it!!
goodness gracious!! and shameful to say, our country is really FULL OF THIS TYPE OF JABO! or aunties, or whatever they are!!

ya, you don't want to sit on it, cos, so many have sat on it,
but you don't care that, others have to sit on where you've put your smelly feet and smelly shoes??
(oh!! may she accidentally slip and dip her own smelly feet into her own pool of pee and poo!! and be locked inside the toilet!)

and if you really think that, public toilet is like this, why don't you just lock yourself in ICU and not be near any germs in the public places,
and why do you want to come out to the public, eat in public restaurants, shop in public malls, step on the public ground!
you should even throw all your money away, as they contain more bacteria if you ask me!
at least, most of the time, they're just some fat asses that come into contact with the toilet seats, if not nice asses, or sexy asses!!
and as far as I know,
asses can't lock doors, hold handles, can't hold chicken bone, or dustbin, can't touch dogs, or cats, or other animals, can't dig nose, can't dig ears, can't dig teeth, can't dig other holes,
BUT I KNOW VERY WELL, HANDS AND FINGERS come into contact with all the above, so, why don't you throw all your money away!??
if you do not want to sit on a toilet seat, and AT LEAST USE YOUR BRAIN AND EYES, to think that you can, and therfore, look for those toilets that are squattable!!
don't tell me it's urgent matter...
who goes in there for fun?? if not urgent, it's not only YOU have urgent need to attend to! IT'S NOT ONLY YOU, OK??
if you think that, others deserve to sit on where you've stepped with your smelly feet/shoes, then, please demo to me, you're willling to lick your own toes to the sole of your foot, oh!! both feet please!!

else?
(oh!! may she accidentally slip and dip her own smelly feet into her own pool of pee and poo!! and be locked inside the toilet!)
