I know I’ve been blunt…
It happens like this…
One fine day, oh… one fine evening, when I was still at work, suddenly this chat window pop up… oh… it’s from one of the “long-lost”… acquaintances… long as… when did I last see him??? I think, it’s about 1994… ^_^ before I went (or we all went) to UK for our study…
First thing he asked… “ you’re married with Mak right? Got kids already??”
I answered, “don’t ask stupid question”
He asked, “I don’t know, that’s why I asked you, is that a stupid question??”
I didn’t reply to this, I just told him, “yes, I’m married to Mak, and no kid!!!!!”
Next question,
“how come you’re not on the exmsmkl yahoogroup?”
“you wanna join? I’ll ask XXX to send you the invitation..” (ya, I appreciate the thought of it, but, no, thanks!!!)
I told him, nowadays, people don’t use YAHOO Group anymore (it’s either, you move to an online forum database, or blog)
I told him, I’m using multiply.com, and it’s good… (I put my photos, I write my blog, I write my whatever insignificant life there… ^_^, and I did see him there, I suggested if he’s time, he can go have a look… (ya, then, I won’t be asked stupid questions… sorry, I know I was very blunt!!)
Then, he said, he seldom use multiply.com, and the majority are THERE ie. Yahoogroup… (oh, come on!!! Give me a break, I don’t want to sound like “as if I care”, but ya… hate to say this sentence, “as if I care”… again, I’m not trying to be really THAT blunt!!!!!!!!! But then… I always have a theory… or, that’s my personality, my point is… if there’s something I really mean to do, I’ll do it, I don’t like to be asked to do, especially from a… a… err…)
Majority???? Who????????
XXX will send me invitation????????????
I told him, I won’t and nothing should stop him/XXX to send anything to me, worse come to worse, it may just drop to the junkmail folder, just like some of my mails may drop into the junkmail folder…
Then… I told him, about the whole point… even though, he’s been trying to tell me about this MAJORITY thing!!!!! (sorry, I guess, he doesn’t know that, I don’t follow crowds… I follow my intention, I follow my will, I follow him, I follow HIM, and I follow friends, but I don’t follow THE MAJORITY)
I told him, the minority is happy, using multiply.com
“but the majority is there!!!!” (oh!! Come on, give me a break!!)
Then, I told him… well… after being so ‘harsh’ for a few minutes (which is a good ‘mental exercise’ to get a break from work, ya, I was still working in front of my PC, in the office during that time, evening…) I was trying to, err… be nice… well.. in a way…
However.. ironically, my explanation to him is…
“I’m not a nice person”
Then, he asked me, “what did you do??”
Haha… when I saw this question, my mind immediately wandered away… suddenly thought about all my CSI storylines, where, when somebody said these similar sentences, and another person asked “what did you do?” and the expected answer is, “oh, I killed somebody”
Oh, I’m sorry, I really do have problem of concentration, and my mind wander off very easily…
So, back to this online conversation with him
I told him exactly the same thing…
“you expect me to say, oh, I killed somebody??”
“no, I just don’t want to be a person who always try to be a nice person”
The response from him is,
“I can see that from this conversation… scared to say anything already”
Oh… suddenly, I felt sympathetic… well.. it’s really not my intention to be THAT blunt!!!
I was just trying to… mm… be loud and clear, and straightforward…
Life is short, I don’t want to waste time on things that I can simply promise with my mouth(if I want), but I know very well that, I won’t and cannot do later…
And I don’t want to waste time in doing what majority is doing, but not what I really want to do
And I don’t want to engage in a conversation where,
I’ll have to say words like…
“oh well.. it’s not bad”
“oh, thanks for asking”
“ah ya, that’ll be great”
“oh, nice talking to you”
At the end of the conversation, probably I’ll be drowned by my own puke!!! (oh!! Gross isn’t it??)
Anyway, since I actually blog this conversation here and now… I’ll say that, I’ll rate this conversation, much much more higher than the “oh well” type of conversation… even though it’s BLUNT!!!

Ah… “The blunt elephant”, ha! Actually I suddenly thought about one commercial that I saw many years ago… it’s an animated commercial… I found it extremely cute… however, I cannot remember what that commercial was about, I think, I saw it when I was in UK… mm… could be a brit commercial… ^_^
It went like this
A small little ant wanted to go pass an elephant, so, the little ant, with its little voice, was saying “excuse me!! Excuse me!!!”
Then… without saying anything, or having any response, the elephant just “BAM!!!” step on top of the little ant…
