Man vs. Tool

Haha, again, I kinda got the title from Travel and Living - "Man vs. Food" (Adam Richmond, gosh!! You look at the HUGE burger, HUGE sandwich!!! Even though I like sinful stuff, but these are far too sinful for me, I pity Adam Richmond)

Ok… It started like this…
I've been reading some of the blogger mom's websites…
And frequently I come across those moms who've maid in their household, complained about their maid…
(what's news?)
Of course, I don't intend to share the stories of theirs, but I just can't stop wondering…
… and one day, I asked him, "why we, asian mostly have to have maid at home, what about the 'ang mor', they don't have maid right?"
The answer is, "because it's cheap!"…
Arrgh…
Well, to a certain extent, I guess, it's the true and only answer,
Cos, we can afford to, and cos, we have choice (as we can afford to, therefore, we've choice)
They (the 'ang mor') have no choice, simply, too expensive, only the rich, and real rich people can afford a butler, or a professional house keeper.. I suppose…

Cos, I can't stop thinking…
Don't tell me, we're busier than the 'ang mor' (but why people's countries are still kinda more advanced? Then… shorter working hour, but more advanced, does it mean we're stupider?... Arrgh… I hate to think more down that road…)
They also have kids at home, they also need to do housework, bla bla bla...

And.. Today, I can agree no more, about his answer, "cos it's cheap!"
Cos, it's not cheap over the other side of the world,
And thus, they've no choice, and when they've no choice, they started to invent, they started to innovate, and they started to create!!
I guess, because they've no choice… (when there's no choice, maybe we'll be smarter ^_^)
And there comes good products like Karcher!! Hahahahaha!!!
You know what?
Cos, I was thinking, if I were to tell people that, I'm going to spend almost RM3K, on a steam cleaner..
Those who've maid, sure will say "ask the maid to clean la!!"

Here come the Man vs. Tool…

I'm not sure if any of you has come across a documentary, about the big flood in china 1998..
Ok, one fine day, while I was sitting in front of the TV just like any other day, I came across this documentary…
The bizarre thing is, the 'tools' that china government used to stop the flood (bravo to those heroes) is MEN…
Watch this,
(there're a few sessions on youtube, due to youtube's limitation)

When we've manpower, and when the manpower is cheap, we use manpower… ie. maid!
But when it's regarding manpower, it's regarding human, and therefore, everybody knows the utter truth (regardless where you are, at work, at home, at school, etc.) - the most difficult task to manage, is to manage people!!
And there come the 'problem'…
I call it social problem…
Whenever I came across those blogger moms complained, or, at least, have something to say about their maids… I really don't know what to say…
It's bound to happen, anyway… and the ultimatum of it is… those moms, need the maid…
Those 'complaint' blogs, usually ended up with, "she helps to take care of my kids", in fact, not so much on "she helps with the housework, ichiban!!"

If man vs. tool?
I'll choose tool!!
As, I know very well, I'll not be a good 'manager'...
