Lately… (ok, in fact, I wanted to write about this quite a while ago, but I just leave the "title" in my notes for THAT long~~)
Therefore…
Lately, there're quite a couple of people that I know, have dismissed their domestic maid…
Ok, I'm not going to comment on how one should treat their maid, or how a maid should work up to the expectation to their employer…
But it's kind of a popular topic, where the "employers" do have problem (from small to big) with their maid, or whoever helper that they're getting…
All those who know me, know that, I'm not a "pro" about having a maid… (again, I'm not going to discuss this BIG topic, of why, I'm kinda against the idea… cos, I don’t intend to attract unnecessary "discussion", if not argument online… it's just a matter of choice, among individuals, what's the priority in their lives, and each and every one of us, obviously is different from each other!)
As for me… having a maid at home, meaning, asking for unnecessary headache… (if not problem!)
Anyway, we don’t own a huge house, and we don't have many naughty kids in the house, who mess up the place every single day, and every single hour… moreover, both he and I, are "private" people… ie. we do like, and enjoy our privacy at most!!
In a way, I do feel quite "relieved" (don't ask me why!! Somehow, I feel that, at least, there're people who're on the same "league" as I am, ie. WE CAN SURVIVE AND LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER, WITHOUT A STAY-IN-"7-11" MAID!) and at least, somebody out there, is agreeing with my opinion…
Ok ok… cos from time to time, whenever you've kids, or you're about to have 1 kid at home, people will start telling you, "oh!! You'll need a maid soon!!", and I just wish, so much, to prove these people wrong…
That's why, I feel "relieved", and kinda happy that, there're more and more people, joining the boat!
But I do, and I admit that, I've been engaging with a part-timer lately,
3 hours per week, just to do those chores that, I really really do not have that long wee hour to do, and I kinda hate to do, irregardless, I'm a married person, or, I'm not, irregardless I'm a SAHM or I'm not…
With that…
I guess, both me and the helper are actually happy souls…
We have our privacy guaranteed, and freedom to walk around naked in the house!! (ok, I'm kidding, just an example!)
And she's the freedom too…
I once chatted with her, in fact, poor them, coming all the way, faraway from their hometown, and the worst worry of them, ie. the first thing she mentioned to me, is that, they're worried about the "master", ie. the man of the family!
Ya, imagine, if I'm them, I'll be dead worried too!!
Therefore, I do see that, the part-time helper's the way to go, at least for our current generation… those who hate certain domestic chores, but yet, need the utmost privacy!
In my opinion, at least, it's MAIDLESS~ MAD-less!!
