… continued here…
And since I thought about my addiction to sichuan food, as my addiction to japanese food, especially japanese sashimi…
I thought about the word, "addiction"…
Of course, I'm simply exaggerating… kekekeke…
However… yes, I suddenly thought about it… deeply… ie. in deep thought… again, ended up - sleepless…
Addiction to drugs… since I've been reading a lot of entertainment news, be it hollywood, or taiwan… DRUG IS the topic that comes up frequently in the headlines…
And a lot of them, simply find it hard to kick…
If you're in hollywood, people will just talk about it, drink a cup of tea, and walk away…
But if you're in taiwan… yo~~~ you'll be scrutinized like mad… branded as bad girl and so on…
Anyway, I'm not going to discuss about those stars being addicted to drugs, or sex, or whatever…
My point is…
I do admire those to manage to get themselves out of any negative addiction…
If you wiki, you'll find, there're negative, positive, and neutral addiction, of course, positives are those like exercise in gym, eat healthily (ya, it can be addiction too, I'm nearly there!!)…
Neutral… basically is those "in between"…
Yes, I do admire, and I really do want to know how and how… again…
Cos… I imagine myself in their shoes…
Addiction… is really something that you can't get yourself out of it..
Yes, you may be able to kick the bad habit (ya, it started from being A habit) for a short while… but when temptation comes… will you pick it up again??
Of course, I'm not in any severe "problem" with addiction… (oh, maybe fb? Maybe twitter? I did kick, in a way… (well.. At least, I'm now blogging, and have my fb/twitter page closed!! Closed!! Ok?? That's a big deal man!)
But then… I could imagine the "pain" that one has to go through, maybe for years, if not for months, to get rid of them…
And when the temptation is right in front of you again??
Now, I suddenly remember when I watched "love blossoms" (mediacorp show, that I've mentioned before)…
Zi Jing 紫荊 was trying VERY HARD to kick her gambling addiction… to start off… those experts basically were telling her, not to be near any temptation… yep, to stop being tempted is the key point!
In the end… of that duration of time, she didn't manage to kick the addiction…
Simply she couldn't find any other "replacement" to fulfill her needs…
Yep, finding "replacement", and a healthy, good one, is another key point!
Oops… I shouldn't talk about addiction into too details too…
I'm just simply wondering…
CAN ANYBODY REALLY GET THEMSELVES OUT OF ANY ADDICTION, THAT THEY WERE ONCE… SO DEEPLY FALLEN INTO…??
"… do not bring us to the test, but deliver us from evil, AMEN!"
