Noise Pollution

The sermon that I heard from the church this morning was... about Noise Pollution!!
the priest started in this way...
he said, there're workers out there, for eg. those ground work workers, they have to use ear muffs while they're doing the work, in order to protect their ears, to prevent hearing impairment...
however, we, human, sometimes, do things in the contradicting way..
one way, we emphasize so much on work safety, protecting hearing, sights and capabality of speech, but another way,
we wear our headphones and listen to loud music,
we blast the stereo in our car... that's also defeaning...

The priest was indicating that...
in our life, there're many things that'll deafen us, blind us, and dumb us..
anger, envy, troubles, worries...
until one day, we're deaf, we're blind, and we're mute...
that we cannot receive God's message anymore, and cannot see his work anymore, nor even speak about it...
therefore, he asked and reminded us, to always remember to keep ourselves out of those 'noise', protecting our 'ears'...

9/11

Last night I was watching the documentary of this event, made by BBC and other producton companies...

What can I say?? it's... shocking!! 驚心動魄... well... I know many people out there, have seen the clips, when the 2 buildings collapsed, many time... however... this is the first time, I follow from the first minute to the last... :"-(
the production studio made this documentary, from the morning, the few minutes before the hit, to the last minute...
showing how different people in different office in these 2 buildings started their day..
what they were doing prior to the hit, and then... the hit... it even showed when the plan hit right throught floor 81 when a guy was talking on the phone, seeing a plane speeding into his face...

Well... I won't say much about this documentary... (it's worth watching, if you have the chance)
what I see is, after the hit, all sorts of reactions from those people in the buidlings...
some, became the leader of the small groups (colleagues in the office) and asked everybody to leave, regardless what...
some, still sat there and listened to the PA system, asking them not to move but stay on to work...
some, keep calling different authorities, to figure out what happened, and wait for further information to react...
some, having felt that something had gone wrong, maybe sixth sense... started to call home, and tell the husband/wife, that she/her loves him/her, and that, she/him loves the children...

In the middle of the evacuation process...
one, already gave up in the very beginning, sat there, regretting his life, kept thinking that, he shouldn't have even been to this place and work such demanding/buggering work.. (a job that... maybe pays well, but he didn't like) however, there's one person decided to stay with him and then... I suppose they're in heaven now...
some, (building construction personnels, those that work with their hardhats on all day), forgot about all existing problem they've had with other people, and really act like a hero, a real humble hero.. they gave up their life till the very last minute, just to save others out of those debris in the office... I remember one of the survivor said during the interview... that, he's actually spoken to that very hero, face to face, and that's the last time he saw him... :"-(
and he said... at that moment, there's no classes difference between blue collar workers or white collars, and that, at that time, accountants or lawyers had already lost their mind and didn't know what to do...
one, in the middle of his escape, heard somebody cried for help, he decided to detour and finally saved that person from the other side of the pile of debris, and now, they're brothers...

There were lots of heroic acts during that events...
and there were lots more 'normal mortal' acts during such event as well...
ironically... one of the chinese survivors that's been interviewed... he tried to keep some others who were left behind company, but in the end, he ran... and he survived...
he later told, to the public... admitting that, there's this cowardness in him, at that time... that's why, he didn't bother to stay behind, spending his time to encourage those who's given up hope... and ran away...
but then, ironic... as... I thought... most chinese will act like this.. very typical...
:"-(

Sometimes... I think...
if we're lucky enough... that our whole life live in a peaceful environment.. our REAL personal will not be tested...
otherwise... I'm not sure... including myself... and those we've already known... friends, colleagues, relatives, families...
even though during the day, for eg.
this person always acts like a hero, leader,
this person always acts like a charity person, good person,
this person always get top award, good praise from boss,
this person always seems to be most caring and concerned about his own close family...
.......
I'm not sure... on such day, during such event...
whether this person, will still be the same person...
whether we will give up very early
or, whether we will be the one who help others,
or, whether we will be the one who help others, till we give up our lives,
or, whether we already know where we will end up (die) and regretlessly help others,
or, whether we will just run quietly and humbly, so that, we won't pick up any 'help' signal from surrounding, or stopped by others who need help,
or, whether we will still laugh at the matter and go through the whole thing optimistically, regardless the end result (dead or alive)
or.....

that's why... chinese has a saying...
時勢造英雄!! (vs.時勢造狗熊!! this is my own, or somehow a social understanding from chinese)
ie. Heros are made during hard time...
(vs. Cowards are made during hard time)

INSTALL

OK... how should I start this...

Well... the story is about a girl(Asako), who lost interest in her daily student life.... who lost her aim, and eventually... found a reason for her to live on...
err...

It started like this... Asako was disillusioned...
so, one day, she started to spring-cleaning her room, she was staying with her mother, parents divored..
she technically moved every single thing out of her room, and left with 4 walls... and she thought that, her mother, who didn't pay much attention to her, would not even notice...
and then, she ended up falling asleep at the entrance of the rubbish dump site.. oh!!! that's the cleanest rubbish dump site that I have seen...

Next day, when she got up, a 10-year-old boy(Kazuyoshi) was looking at her...
then, he picked up the computer that she dumped... according to her, it's not working (apparently, she's a 'baka', didn't even install anything, thought that once the power is on, it'll work)
so, he took it back, and installed the OS and everything else on the computer...
then, she started to skip school... as she couldn't find any reason to attend classes, to carry on with daily monotonous life, and to live on...

One fine afternoon, Asako was standing at the balcony, sticking her head outside.... it's a high-rise apartment...
then, she saw Kazuyoshi standing there, on the ground, looking at her, yep, it looked as if, she wanted to commit suicide...
so, these 2 gathered around and started to talk..

the first thing Kazuyoshi said to her is... "if you're going to kill yourself, can you then, let me grab your breasts"...
Asako, astonished...
Kazuyoshi later explained cool-ly and carefree-ly... "oh, normally this is the type of sentence that will save one's life if the person is trying to commit suicide"
then, Asako told him, she's not trying to end her own life...

Kazuyoshi.... err... I don't know why, he seemed to be a very wise kid, seemed to be able to see through Asako's worry, or rather... disillusion...
so, he offered Asako a deal...
he told her that, he, actually has been working part-time, as one of those adult chat site's 'chatter'...
(well.. u just have to log on to those site and start chatting with those pervert, or lonely men)
and Asako asked him how he got himself such a job, he said, he pretended to be a 25-year-old housewife, and gotto know another housewife, who's working as such 'chatter', so, she 'outsourced' the job to him... and now, he intended to outsource it to Asako, as he claimed, he's to go to school in the morning...

Asako told him, she's even slow in typing sms on the handphone, not to mention computer, so, Kazuyoshi told her, he'll teach her...
so, the main part of the show is... how Asako enjoyed her days, from initially a little bit reluctant, cos, it's porno business... to eventually, she kinda liked it..
as she gotta have a peep into the adult world, and how lonely these people are... some actually are not that 'pervert', they just logged on to find somebody to chitchat...

At the same time, Kazuyoshi was struggling with his new stepmother, he still didn't know how to live with this woman, and one day, the stepmother asked him, if he wanted a younger sister, or younger brother...ie. she's pregnant...
and he didn't know how to response... as he WAS still trying to get a balance to live with this unfamiliar woman...

However... at the end of the show...
Asako accidentally triggered a virus and the whole OS gone..
Kazuyoshi had been 'terminated' his outsource job, as that housewife (that real housewife) decided she doesn't want to continue such job anymore...
but they were paid well.. and 2 of them were splitting the dollars...

After a nearly 1 month of odyssey... Kazuyoshi told Asako, he told his stepmother.. he wanted a younger sister.. (err... if I have not remembered wrongly, but then, this is not the point) the point is... this indicated that he's finally adjusted himself properly and accepted the new life with the stepmother..
and to Asako...
she told him, she's finally going back to school... after this 1 month of part-time job, and after her best friend killed in an accident...
she told him, she finally understood that, even though at this point of time, life seemed to be aimless, and she couldn't foresee where she's going in her life...
but then.... the beauty of living is, to live... only if you live, you can continue to do nothing, you can continue to talk to people, you can continue to have worries, and continue to wonder how your life will end up like...

and Kazuyoshi told her that... when a computer crashes, it doens't mean, it's the end of its life.. u just need to install again, and everything will start from '0'...
so, it seems like both of them, have just had a fresh install...

I liked this film... of course, it's because Ueto Aya is really very cute, as well as the kid, Kamiki Ryunosuke...
but then, the soundtrack is cute too... normally when these 2 were talking, there's this very light piano/keyboard tone coming out in the air... very lightly and very lively...
I liked it, as it's different from other films that I have watched recently, therefore... it's kinda refreshing, and the idea is kinda refreshing too...
The whole setting is pretty simple, it's mainly the interaction between Asako and Kazuyoshi...

However... ya... life is not as simple as that, isn't it?
first of all... it's not easy to really find such person who can be there, at that time, to really help you to install ie. start all over again...
during that event...

But then... this show.. in a way, did give some hope :-)

Doraemon's Dougu (道具)

OK, since my friend and I started this topic, so, I thought I'd better jot down something... :-)

Memory bread!!
Since I have mentioned that, I was one of those kids who grew up with Doraemon,
and since during my teenage year, my main 'event', or 'life' is STUDY, STUDY AND STUDY!!!
therefore, sometimes, prior to exam, it's either I keep singing Sylvia Chan's "Tong Nian", 童年... ("總是要等到睡覺前, 才知道功課只做了一點點, 總是要等到考試以後, 才知道該唸的書都沒有唸)
OR... I will start praying that, Doraemon's memory bread will suddenly appear in front of me...
how does the memory bread work??
well... if you're a bread lover, you should start hooray-ing...
if you're not, well... since it's for exam sake, you'd better stuff yourself up with these bread...
basically, memory bread, you put it on top of the page that you want to memorise, and those words will be 'printed' onto the bread, and if you eat it, then, you can immediately remember those things on the page...
how beautiful my study life will be, if I have such bread... but then, I can imagine, I will be even fatter than I already am now :-)

and... talking about being fat,
there's another dougu from lovely Doraemon's pocket
that's the Fitness bike
basically, this bike is no difference from those exercise bike that you see in the gym, or the one that's sitting in your house or apartment...
however...how Doraemon tricked Nobita to use it is...
it started like this
Nobita once mentioned to Doraemon, how nice it will be if he can travel all around the world, and eat all the good food
then, Doraemon pulled out this bike and told him, you can do it, providing you sit on this bike, so, Nobita started his cycling..
when he started cycling, he's the illusion that he was really traveling around the world and upon arriving at each destination, good food will be displayed in front of him, and he would start eating and really enjoying the tasty food..
but then, the bike has one function... he was not supposed to step off the bike for too long to attend to the food, once the head light started to dim, he's to continue to cycle, and head straight to the next destination...
So... Nobita finally cycled to many places, and tasted many different types of cuisine..
until he nearly give up, and Doraemon told him that he's not suppose to stop in the middle of the journey, if he stopped, then, he won't be able to go home..
Nobita was so terrified and was forced to continue his cycling journey..

In the end of the story is...
those sightseeing, those eating were all just a brain simulation, were just an illusion...
the real effect is that, Nobita lost some weight, cos, the actual fact is... he EXERCISED!!!!

woo!!!! isn't that an amazing bike??
you can 'eat', and yet, you'll actually slim down... gosh!!!! I really wish I can have one of this...

:-D

ps: for those who ONLY speak english... Doraemon is pronounced as "Do-La-A-MoN", "A" being like A for apple...
just like those who pronounce Ramen as "raymon", PLEASE!!!!! it's "LA-MeN"

I am a Convert

The other day, I heard a good sermon...
the priest was telling us about convert, conversion...
us, as christian, everyday, we must live a conversion live, to be a better chrisitan, children of God... before we judge and look at the others, many of us, fail to do so...
err... I can't really remember the full sermon, but then, this is the message I gather... it's enlightening... :-)
The priest called all of us a convert...
and that, he reminded us not to judge, as God view all of us as his children, and we should then, view the others, as God's children, and do not judge...
He then said, as long as we're not THERE yet, we are always on a journey of conversion...

mm... I like his saying... :-)

抉擇 CHOICE

This afternoon I saw an episode of Oprah Winfrey... usually I don't really sit through her show, as it's a little bit on the heavier side for me... ie. too serious... I prefer trashy show, cos, I'm a shallow person :-)

However I sat through the whole show, as she's interviewing the Beslan victim, one of the family...
The family, parents, 1 son, 1 daughter, flew all the way to US to attend this interview, and told audiences their story... it's saddening... and... heavy, as I said...
What happens to news reporting nowadays is.. they seldom/rarely do any 'aftermath' reporting...
News is captured instantly upon its breakout, however... when the event is over, not many people seem to know, what happened to the victims, how do they over come their trauma, how do they 'walk' in the crowd again, how do they 'stand up' again, how do they recover, or not recover....
so, most of the time, we need to depends on a hearty show like this, or a hearty sincere movie that reports on those very events...
:-(

Anyway... what happened to that family was...
the mother was forced to make a choice (as she claimed, it was not really a choice)
she was forced by the terrorists who hold hostage of that school, to pick one of her children and leave, and live..
ONLY ONE, she's allowed to pick... for a mother, it's always a heart breaking choice...
she finally picked her son, and went out, but then, couldn't help crying and worrying that, the daughter being left inside the school will die in the end of the event...
God blessed, it's a happy, but not so happy ending for this family... the daughter didn't die, and the family was reunited, however, they've to live with this trauma forever, especially the little daughter...
When I saw the show, I was wondering... how did the little daughter feel, when the mother picked the brother, instead of her... she was like 5-6 years old that time, I guess... and I also think... it's miracle that she survived, but it'll be hard for her to face the world and people, and her mother after this...

Many times, during crisis like this... we are tested with choice...
In the same Oprah show, one of the guest expertise also mentioned, during the WWII, in the Auswitz camp, mother were forced to make choice, pick 1 or 2 of the children to live, and leave the other die in the gas chamber, the story mentioned by that expert was that, the mother in the end chose to go into the gas chamber herself, so that, the other children can survive...

I always consider myself, and people that I know, around this side of the world, to be lucky...
as we are not forced to make such a life and death choice...
Jewish was forced by the german to choose either their faith, or life... that's again, heartbreaking.... why heartbreaking?
I find this type of situation heartbreaking, as, if I put myself in the very same situation...
I am scared, I will fail the test...
that's heartbreaking... maybe a little part of me, is feeling heartbreaking for myself for being such a coward person... :-(

The second part of the show, Oprah was interviewing an Iraqi boy, who, err... gave up his own father, to save the family, and his own future...
as a 14-year-old boy, he knew that, the father was doing something not right, involved in campaign that took lives... so, one day, he went to the US military base and surrender himself, asked the army to pretend to arrest him, while, he'd actually helped them to identify a few cell base and help to capture them... in the end the father was killed, and he became the hero...

He went onto the show to be interviewed, wearing a cap, and a pair of sunglasses.. as it'll endanger himself, if he bear his look in the public...
to me, he actually walks and acts, and smiles like an american... maybe that's what in his 14-year-old mind, that time...
but for a 14-year-old boy... em... I am more interested in how he came to such conclusion as to give up his father,
as he mentioned, at that time, he can see an obvious difference, the american was good, they came to school to help and to give food.. and his father was abusive, to him, to his mother, and other family members... but then... when I was 14 years old... again, it's a blessing... when we were 14 years old... we were still happily attending school, happily taking our afternoon nap, happily chatting with our classmates or go to McD to sit throught the whole afternoon, happily trying to save some pocket money to buy our favourite cassettes...
when I was 14 years old, and if I am that 14-year-old boy, I am not sure what I will do, probably I will just sit there and wait to be killed :-( sad huh?
However, one way I can see is, he's a brave boy, he's a hero... in most people eye.. but another way I can think about is...
a young kid who could reach such conclusion and carried out such plan as to surrender to the US army and to help them to capture those active cells... what type of person he is... hm!! interesting...

Freeware (Free software) to share...

This one is a simple AUDIO player... I said AUDIO, don't ask me why it cannot play movie, k??
Evil player,
http://www.evilplayer.server-host.com/
good to use when you're doing your work, and u just want to listen to music on your desktop, especially if your PC is not that high-end...

This one is a gecko engine based browser, just like Mozilla, however I find it less heavier on my PC, as in less heavier on resources..., and I find it particularly good for accessing multiply.com website
K-Meleon
http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net/

If you want to cut your .mp3 file, this is a good one, idiot-proof...
MP3 Direct Cut
http://www.mpesch3.de/

Same for your .mp3 files, if you want to edit their tag, as sometimes, their file name, or file's info looked crumbled in character on your audio player, you can use this to edit... very useful, if you want to manage your mp3 correctly...
MP3 Tag
http://www.mp3tag.de/en/

Sometimes when you download files, either some technical error, or suddenly the connection lost, with this, you can resume, I know there are some other good ones out there, but I find this pretty 'comfortable' to use...
Free Download Manager
http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/

Ooh~~ I found this software the other day, ya ya, I know, it's been there for a while.. but then, didn't really bother to explore the usage... I personally prefer this than Google's picasso, as picasso, the moment you finished installation, it'll start picking up all your image files on your desktop... nah!!! that's not what I want... whereas with shutterfly, I can edit my image files, put some filter on it, or apply some pattern over it... it's pretty interesting... for eg. you don't need a special sepia roll of film to take sepia effect photos anymore... etc.
Shutterfly
http://www.shutterfly.com/

Same as the above, however, this one doesn't have great look-and-feel, but easy and simple to use... serve the purpose, I decided to keep it on my desktop
Pixia
http://park18.wakwak.com/~pixia/

Ooh.. this one is useful for me... I suppose there are many out there, who install a small notes reminder, or so on... or those desktop stick-it, however.. if you're an outlook user, (don't condemn outlook here, I'm also a anti-microsoft person, however, sad to say, I am a conformist in this sense :-( how contradicting huh!!) then, this software will pull out your 'task' and 'calender', and if u enable it to start when you startup your windows, it serves as pretty good reminder of what you need to do for the day... ya ya, I know, I'm a non-working GAL, but then, I am in charge of paying bills, or, paying credit cards and so on... it's good as reminder...
Desk Task
http://www.carthagosoft.net/

What's running on your desktop, windows' 'task manager' does show you the task, but lack in more detailed description, whereas, this one does... so, you know exactly what are the services that's running and you know it's from what programmes, otherwise, can you tell me directly what the 'mdm.exe', 'alg.exe' means? don't ask those techy people, this is for people like me, who will only understand, if you explain to me in layman-term :-)

Another day in the fish world

You know, once you get hooked on sashimi, you really have to get a regular dosage... it's like drug :-)
especially after you've had so much of other western food, curries, oily chinese food, beef, pork, and so on...
You really want to have something with a totally different taste... that give you a less sinful, and clean, and cooling feeling in your mouth...
That's why last night we went to another small japanese cafe, just around china town, called Yoyogi...
We have been there long time ago, but didn't really quite appreciate the food then..
however, last night, we ordered some different thing on the menu...

Sometimes, life is like that, we concentrate too much on the mainstream, we forget and forgo those beautiful and good things on our side...

That's why, normally it's good to order some finger food, or some side dish, rather than concentrate on the main course...
main course can be boring sometimes, and it's time for side dishes to be appreciated...

We ordered, mainly non-maincourse...
no more beef bowl as we know the Yuriya's is better...
no more ramen, as I have not tasted too ramen ever since I tried the one in Tokyo,
we ordered some tempura, some tofu, some cold soba, some gyoza...
the most important thing is for the purpose we planted our butt there last night, is for the sashimi...

Overall, it's not bad, the the value of money, the tofu is really tasty, and the sashimi... compared to Samurai, it's not that big in portion, however... well... it serves well as my regular dosage, it's enough...

Usually, after a meal I will still greedily shop around for some other food... however,
usually, after a good course of sashimi, I will feel so much contented... :-)
"Shiawase ni!!" 好幸福哦!!

百合屋 Yuriya...

There is this place in china town, if you don't want to go too far... you can have quite a decent meal of japanese food...
order some sushi... even though, sometimes, I find the cuts being a little bit too pathetic... but then, the rests are tasty... :-d
They have a great set menu on Sunday, Sunday ONLY... and it'll cost you around AUD15-16 each...
and as both of us like beef bowl so much, we always have to order these two, the sukiyaki beef bowl, and the yaki beef and rice...
both are yummy and tasty, for yaki = 燒, you can taste the real good hot stirfry(or barbecue) of the beef... whereas sukiyaki = すき?き, it's the sweet soy sauce japanese steamboat... and the beef for the beef bowl is from those beef and onion that where cooked with this pot of sweet soy sauce, so, it tastes less barbecued!!

The most interesting thing is... the greentea icecream that comes in the end...
like one of my favourite taiwanese TV host momoko said, (for girls)"a meal without dessert at the end, is just like a sentence without fullstop, ".")
how true is this saying...

It came quietly, and left quietly!!!!!

Autumn? Winter? Spring? Summer???

Well... I have to say, this is the first time, I have experienced.. experienced nothing...
nothing strongly or particularly felt as any of the 4 seasons... Autumn? ya, when autumn first arrived, I felt a little bit cold... then, winter? I didn't know winter had arrived, besides what people have said... however, of course, when one thing is mentioned 100 time, it'll become a fact!!! so, I knew winter has arrived, and now... has left?

Yep.. obviously the weather is getting warmer..
it gets warm, without a warning, without telling me winter has left, just like when winter came, it came without informing me autumn has ended...
:-(
and I actually have this feeling that, summer is just around the corner, waiting to wave its hand to me, and say "enjoy HOT BLOODY SUNNY DAY!!" to me...
maybe spring will also just come and go quietly...

Therefore... what I can distinguish and tell, in this city... is,
there are 3 types of weather, cold, warm, and BLOODY HOT~

~~~Affogato's Adventure~~~
There is a cafe just opposite where we stay in Essendon...
I love to frequent this cafe, as it has the widest and best selection of cakes that I have seen... despite Greco, and Brunetti... well, it's just at my doorstep... why bother going all the way to Greco or Brunetti right??
So, the other day I went there again, to see if they have nice affogato... yep, they do...
and different from the usual way of serving affogato, they serve it in a martini glass... the moment I saw the pretty waitress brought it out in front of me... my heart blossom!! :-)
Also, we ordered a piece of cheesecake... look so sinful but yet yummy!!!
if I were to die because of one sin (one sin only) then, it'll be because of CAKES!!! so irresistable...
This cafe is great, so far, I like it better than those in the city centre, in fact.
The owner, apparently is greek, and they are the most hardworking bunch of people I have seen in this city.
They start their business very early in the morning... and close at very late hour, late as for the standard in this country... ie. 11pm? ya... in the city centre, mind you, 7pm is like 12 midnight back home...
Yes they are the most hardworking people in this city... just a few months ago, they took over another shop lot just around the corner, and open a pizza express, THEN.. they took over another bigger corner lot, and order a stone grill cafe cum restaurant....
Hardworking people always earn my respect, whereas, not-hardworking people and yet like to complain how much work they have... I suggest you to go jump off the building!!!
Apparently I read it in the forum of Vogue Australia... Essendon gals are famous of their fashion, compare to other suburb, especially around Max's area... :-) see... I actually accidentally landed myself in the most IN place :-)
(if you do a search in google, Max's, essendon, you may find a search result which is one of the forum's topic, in Vogue Australia online)
If you do come by Essendon area, do take a sip of coffee there... :-D
Goodbye Doraemon!!
My mother used to read us Doraemon story when we were very young... when my younger brother and I were about 2 and 4 years old each... I think...
Therefore, Doraemon was like our bed time story... of course we still got some other bedtime stories from our grandmother...
Whenever we went to our grandmother's (my mother's mother) room, we'll start performing on her bed, during that time, the bed seemed to be a real big stage for us, and em... my grandmother was our only but faithful audience...
Therefore, I grew up with lots of stories in my head, stories about poor son, and bad step-mother, and etc. the rest, I can't really remember, but maybe I remember... it's just hidden in my head somewhere... whenever it's happy, it'll pop up to say 'hi' once in a while...
Therefore, Doraemon is not just Nobita's friend, but also my friend.. and my brother's friend..
The other day, one of my friend sent me an email, telling the story of Doraemon's ending... it's a very touching story... (well, when I said 'touching', you know what I mean!! ,,(_ _),,
Later, I tried so search for the same email, I couldn't find, so, I went to the internet and manage to pull out more information about Doraemon ending...
If you grow up with Doraemon, I believe, you like this ending... apparently there are many versions of endings... of which I have read/seen 2 of them...
the first one to be...
(From some internet source)
One day,a very normal day, Nobita came back from school and went upstairs of his house. Doraemon was there sleeping, just like the other normal day.
"Hey, Doraemon, please wake up, lets play! " but Doraemon does not wake up. Nobita thought that Doraemon is tired, so he went out to play with Shizuka-chan and other folks. After few hours, he returned to his home, but Doraemon was still sleeping. Nobita felt something strange, and tried to wake him up. But there was no reply. He became to feel afraid, and tried to wake him up, but whatever he does, Doraemon did not wake up. Nobita exactly knew that something was different. This never happened before. He began crying, but though he screamed or cried, the famous fat-cat-robot did not make a single move at all. He came up to one idea, and jumped into his desk the time machine-and went to the future to meet Dorami-chan, Doraemon's sister. He begged her for help, and forced her to go with him back to 1998.
After a short trip again back to 1998 by the time machine, Dorami-chan looked all over his brother Doraemon to see what was wrong with him.
After few minutes, she said "the battery is out"
Nobita was relieved, and said, "battery? so he is not broken right? please replace or recharge his battery, and put him back like before"
But Dorami-chan shook her head and said, "Nobita-san, should I really do that?"
Nobita said "what? what do you mean?"
Dorami-chan replied; "His main battery is here, close to his pocket. And it ran out. But originally, he had a back-up battery in his ears, but as you know, his ears were eaten by a rat very many years ago, so he does not have a back-up battery now"
"so what do you mean?" "I mean, if I replace his battery, every memory of you will be eternally lost from his brain program"
"WHAT?????"
"Shall I do that?" Nobita closed his eyes. He cried, but after few minutes, he stopped crying, and quietly told Dorami-chan; "Dorami-chan, thanks for coming here. I will take care of the rest. You have to go back to your future time now" Dorami-chan could not decide what to do, but anyway she hugged Nobiya quietly, and she went back home. After she went back,Nobita carried Doraemon and placed him into the shelf.
.........TIME FLIES..........
Year 2010, Nobita grew up. Since that day, he changed.
He studied hard, did not cry anymore, and he lived without Doraemon.
He told Shizuka and other folks that Doraemon had to go back to his future, and could not meet him anymore. Shizuka was impressed to Nobita's mysterious appearance which became completely different from 10years ago. They fell in love, and married. Nobita became a scientist. He made a laboratory in his room, and was studying hard with his job all day.
He told Shizuka not to come into the room, as it is very dangerous inside. But one day, he called Shizuka and told her to come in to his room. It was the first time for her to enter his husband's room.
The moment she went in, she lost her words ......There was her friend Doraemon, who she used to play in her childhood days. Doraemon was not moving. It seemed as he was sleeping.
"Look, Shizuka, I will plug in from now" Nobita turned on the main switch on Doraemon. Doraemon quietly, very quietly started to open his eyes. It was the moment the inventor of Doraemon became clear. It was Nobita. He studied hard and hard just to meet and talk with his old friend again. Going back and forth of time, Nobita was the one who made Doraemon. He discovered all the programs and archytecture of Doraemon-type-robot.
Nobita and Shizuka was crying gently. Doraemon opened his eyes. He looked around, and finally said, "Nobita-kun, I have waited for you for so long?" There was the same white clouds in the sky like the times they used to spend together.
某天,大雄如往常般,忘了做作業在學校被老師罵,也如往常般
被技安、阿福他們欺負。連未來的老婆宜靜也答應要先嫁給別人。
總之,對大雄來講,生活就是一連串類似事件的反覆。
今天跟昨天沒什麼兩樣。
唯一的變化是,小叮噹突然變成植物機器。無論大雄怎麼踢、 打、
罵,小叮噹都沒有反應。
大雄不知道小叮噹到底發生了什麼事,只傷心得哭了整晚。
可是,無論大雄再傷心透頂,小叮噹也只是紋風不動地坐在柱子前。
大雄也伸手到口袋內試試,但口袋也豪無任何動靜。
然後大雄想起抽屜裡的時光機,就穿著睡衣飛到22世紀去找小叮噹的
妹妹小叮鈴。
小叮鈴還沒完全聽完說明,就被大雄催著坐上飛行機飛回20世紀。
小叮鈴一看哥哥動也不動,馬上知道是電池用完了。
正想換電池時,小叮鈴想起一個非常重大的事。
沒有備用電源
大雄不懂得其中意思,只在一旁催。
小叮鈴只好問大雄:『你願意讓哥哥跟你的回憶都消失嗎?』
原來舊型的貓機器人的耳朵裡,裝有備用電源,以便充電時
能保持至今為止的記憶。可是
小叮噹沒有耳朵!(這是眾所皆知的吧。)
大雄終於理解了事情的困難。種種回憶在大雄的腦海裡奔騰
大雄跟小叮噹曾飛到過去、未來,也曾到恐龍世界,海底世界,
更在宇宙打過仗
小叮鈴拼命解釋給大雄聽。若要裝新電池,小叮噹醒來時會
失去一切與大雄曾有過的回憶。若保持現狀,記憶不會消失。
結果,大雄選擇保持現狀。
此時,大雄還是小學六年級。
數年後
從海外歸國的大雄,已成長為英俊迷人的青年,並就職於
某家尖端科技的企業。他身邊的新娘,正是宜靜。
當年,小叮鈴回到22世紀後,大雄只跟身邊的人們說,
小叮噹回到未來的世界去了。時日一久,也就沒人再提
小叮噹的事。不過,小叮噹其實一直被保管在大雄家的壁櫥裡。
大雄為了修好小叮噹,拼命用功讀書,然後國中、高中、大學,
成績逐年昇騰,而且到國外最好的大學留學。
現在,大雄身在他自己的研究室中。
他叫來平日嚴禁其出入研究室的妻子宜靜。對她說:
『妳看好,我要按開關了。』
說完,大雄頰上情不自禁流下兩串淚珠。
他就是為了這一刻,苦學了十幾年。
為了這一刻,從一個老是忘了做作業、成績從倒數起算比較快
的笨學生,爬到今天的地位。
開關按下後,久久一陣靜寂,靜寂
終於,小叮噹開口了:
『大雄,我等你很久了。』
However... I did read about another type of ending, or rather not the grand finale... even then... I was so 'touched' at that time... ya, comic does not just make one laughs, but also make one cries...
(From wikipedia, and other internet sources)
This ending was actually meant to be the official ending due to low TV ratings and the Fujiko Fujio duo was busy with other works. But Doraemon did not leave their minds and restarted from next month's issue. In 1981, this episode was made into anime (called "Doraemon Comes Back"), and in 1998, this was released as an anime movie.
* In the March 1973 issue of the magazine Shogaku 4-nensei, Nobita again returns home after losing a fight against Jaian. Doraemon then explains that he has to return. Nobita tries to have Doraemon stay but after talking it over with his parents, he accepts Doraemon's departure. They take a last walk in the park. After they split up, Nobita encounters Jaian and gets into a fight again. After a long duel with Nobita trying to win at all costs so that Doraemon can leave without worries, Jaian lets Nobita win for not giving up. Doraemon finds Nobita passed out and takes him home. Sitting beside sleeping Nobita and after a moment of thought, Doraemon returns to the future.
一 開始就是大家所熟知,大雄被技安追著回到家…:P大雄又要吵著要變強,卻發現小叮噹格外的鬱悶好像有心事的樣子。後來小叮噹才說他要回味來世界,當晚,大 雄跟小叮噹都睡不著,所以就說,我們一起聊到清晨吧!小叮噹就拿出"不睡不疲藥"(嘻嘻,自己亂翻的...反正自己揣摩吧)邊散步邊徹夜長談。小叮噹很擔 心大雄,而大雄則和小叮噹約定,什麼事他都一定可以一個人搞定。小叮噹快哭出來了,但是不想讓大雄看他哭的樣子,於是就一個人(貓)去散步,大雄走著走著 走到空地,恰巧技安睡呆了走過空地,然後技安忽然醒了,技安對大雄說:「你居然敢看到我睡呆的樣子,我要揍扁你啊!」,大雄不禁想向小叮噹求救,但是想到 他和小叮噹的約定,於是說:「要打的話,我不用小叮噹幫忙」,技安說:「喔,有種,是男人就該這樣!」,然後技安把大雄打得鼻青臉腫,但是大雄死也不認 輸,打到最後,技安打到受不了,就向大雄認輸,此時小叮噹正好經過,大雄向小叮噹說:「我贏了,你不用擔心我了!」,隔夜大雄醒來的時候,小叮噹已經不在 他身邊了,大雄想:「小叮噹,你回去之後房間變得好空曠,但我馬上就回習慣的,所以,別擔心我。」
小叮噹,你回去之後,房間變得很空曠,但我馬上就會習慣的,不要擔心我!
I liked these 2 endings, as... it's purely about friendship... friendship between Doraemon and Nobita and how this friendship changes Nobita, the useless, lazy, weak Nobita...
and how much a person can do, for friend... in a way, I think, such friend is just like your own family member...
For the first ending, Nobita changed thoroughly just to 'save' Doraemon, just to preserve the memory of the friendship, of the time spent together, between him and Doraemon, however, in the end, when Doraemon said "I have waited you for so long", what I see is, this is all planned by Doraemon, to make Nobita a better person, a responsible and a hardworking person...
For the second ending, even though it's much simpler, but that's also a strong bond between these two. Nobita, for once, acted strong on his own, as simple as, he wants Doraemon to go back to the future without worrying about him
Sometimes... we feel that we're so weak, so powerless, there's not much thing to do, to help our loved ones... but then, the only thing we can think of, is just another stupid way.. like, Nobita choose to fight Jaian by himself... and get all beaten up... as a powerless human as we are... we can only choose the original and stupid way... just like Nobita choose to fight Jaian by himself... it's painful, and it's lonely sometimes... however, it's because we love the other person... we love our family...
So that you don't have to worry about me anymore...
"Doraemon, after you've left, my room looks more spacious now, but I will get used to it soon, don't worry about me!"
Shopping by Category
You go to supermarket, you go to the right isle... for eg. "confectionary"--- to get your favourite cookies,
You go to online shopping, for eg. amazon.com, there are many categories for you to choose, for eg. Computer---accessories, notebook, desktop, etc.,
You go to library, you go to the right shelf, to get your favourite book, for eg. Crime/fiction,
You go to watch a movie, there are thriller, comedy, drama, horror, etc.,
You want to buy a music CD, there are sentimental, pop, rock, alternative rock, jazz, bossa nova, etc.,
........
In this world, there are so many categories, goods, food, IT-related stuff, books, etc.
People like to categorise things up, it is easier for search, it is easier to organise your stuff, it is all a chain of reaction, from organising to categorising.
We even categorise our own digital copies of documents, .doc, .gif, .mp3, .xls, .pps, and so on...
It makes our life easier...
Therefore, many many many years ago, till now, people like to categorise other people,
she's an extrovert, he's an introvert,
she's a bossy person, he's a person who likes to enslaved himself,
he's an american, she's an english, he's a russion, she's an arabian, etc.,
he's from XXX town, she's from YYY state, etc.,
he's speaking XXX dialect, she's speaking YYY dialect, etc.,
he's from XXX University, she's from YYY University, and what more to say, he's from university in XXX country, she's from university from YYY country, etc.,
he's born in the year of pig, she's born in the year of rabbit, he's born in the year of tiger, she's born in the year of dragon, etc.,
he's born in winter, she's born in summer, etc.,
he's an aries, she's a libran, etc.,
he's born a chrisitan family, she's born a buddhist family, etc.,
From the big 5 personality - Extraversion, Openness, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, and Neuroticism
Neuroticism - A tendency to easily experience unpleasant emotions such as anger, anxiety, depression, or vulnerability. (emotional stability to stimuli)
Extraversion - Energy, surgency, and the tendency to seek stimulation and the company of others.
Agreeableness - A tendency to be compassionate and cooperative rather than suspicious and antagonistic towards others. (individualism vs cooperative soluitons)
Conscientiousness - A tendency to show self-discipline, act dutifully, and aim for achievement. (Spontaneousness vs planned behaviour)
Openness to experience - Appreciation for art, emotion, adventure, unusual ideas; imagination and curiosity. (vs conservatism)
These traits are often measured as percentile scores, with the average mark at 50%; so for example, a Conscientiousness rating in the 80th percentile indicates a greater than average sense of responsibility and orderliness, while an Extroversion rating in the 5th percentile indicates an exceptional need for solitude and quiet.
the list can go on and on, the categories can go on and on as well, people keep studying other people and continue with the expansion of the category list...
Categorization makes our life so much easier... as categorization helps us to pre-define, and pre-understand certain situation, certain personality in a person...
However... I have always thought that, a person, is a unique person by himself/herself... if there are 6 billion people in this world, then, there are 6 billions of categories to me...
People like to stick to a category that they believe in, as it really really makes one's life easier, and I am not denying that, those categories are not correct, but, it's only of approximation... therefore... I normally prefer to learn about a person, by myself, rather than by what has been told by those people who created those categories... as human is simply not goods...
Learn about a person, by talking to them, by listening to them, by writing to them, by reading what they write, by obseving them while they talk to others, by putting yourself in his/her situation... by discussing with them, by learning how they discuss with others... etc.,
and that is also why, I find the learning path, pretty interesting... it's unlimited things for you to discover... cos, people change... maybe by a universal law that we still don't understand, however, people do change...
Long time ago, my roommate discussed with me, regarding people's freewill... is there one? or is there not one?
I do think, there is freewill in every human being, therefore, there will be 6 billion of freewill on earth, and therefore, there will be 6 billion of possibility... to drill down to these possibility, every second, every minute, every day, we change, and it contributes to a weekly, monthly, or yearly change... the change is indefinite... and therefore, the categories can expand to indefinite...
I still think shopping by Category makes my life easier... however... I don't shop for people by category,
as I believe, each individual is unique, and each soul is irreplaceable, nevertheless, irreproduceable...
If there are categories that involve human, then, I would rather believe that, those categories somehow overlap each other...
as, I once heard a saying,
"there is no evil person, or good person, it's only at one critial moment, whether your evil side overcome your good side, or the other way round", that moment, is the moment that will define you as a bad person, or good person...
I don't shop for people, by category, maybe it's harder for me... but that's the way I choose... :-)
Jack Bauer saved the Day
Oooh, Hoooh!!!!!!
Finally he got it... this year, 58th Emmy Award, Outstanding Lead Actor in Drama Series--->Kiefer Sutherland,
Jack Bauer my hero!!!! :-)
so happy... well... it paid the day...
I sat down in front of the TV, just for this moment...
Yep... if you've been following from Season 1 all the way to Season 5, you know, it's time for Jack/Kiefer to be acknowledged...
and he's changed from a slightly more subtle agent, I mean, Jack... well... to me, Jack is Kiefer, and Kiefer is Jack... :-) too bad :-( Tony and Michelle were not in the picture... :-(
Anyway... on top of the "Outstanding Lead Actor", '24' was also awarded as "Outstanding Drama Series", so, worth my 5 years time (not really 5 years, just to exaggerate, I first watched it since end of 2004) of behaving like a real die-hard fans... ie. nothing but '24', nobody but Jack Bauer!!
On the stage, the humble but yet serious Kiefer Sutherland (yep... maybe I have seen too much of Jack Bauer in him, can't imagine any funny joke blurted out from him, I'll definitely laugh, if he's trying to tell a not-so-funny joke, unlike the rest of the guests, most of them were pretty humorous on stage)
oops... these ARE what he said, and only things that he said...
"What a nice evening this has been for us; my father's sitting over there," he said, pointing to Donald Sutherland, who also was nominated for his role in "Human Trafficking." "We're going to have to have dinner now.
"Every once in a while, you're going to have an evening that reminds you that you have too much," he said.
---quoted from CNN news
Hurray!!!! Really can't wait for Season 6 to be aired... oh.. as well as '24' the movie, hopefully it'll come true
Actually... I was even hoping that, both Itzin Gregory (stupid bad President Logan) and Jean Smart (First Lady) would also win both "Outstanding Actor in Drama series", and "Outstanding Actress in Drama series", but too bad... hopefully next year, they will outperform the rest, however, I guess, it will be less chance for Itzin Gregory... :-( I hated him so much that, I think, he deserves a trophy... :-) come on!! he's crowned the worst US President in the US film history... :-). While for Jean Smart, even though she's err... kinda old, however, I don't know why, I kinda find her to be a very attractive woman... attractive when she's the First Lady, and when she was on the red carpet tonight.
Anyway... I know I will see more of her next year, in Season 6, so, it doesn't matter... :-)
Yippie!!!
ヤッタ!!! ヤッタ!!!
**Real life ANEGO**
I have a friend, who's exactly like the ANEGO(アネゴ), in the show ANEGO!!! err... what am I talking about?? :-)
well... there is this Jap series, called ANEGO, ie. Big Sister in japanese...
her name is Naoko, (performed by Shinohara Ryoko, 篠原涼子), "Anego" was given by a cute young guy, Kurozawa, who's just joined the company that she's working in...
The guy was very impressed with her dedication in work, as well as her willingness to help whoever came to her...
so, he called her Anego... she was 31 at that time, and he was 21 :-D
In the story, we can see that, Naoko really is like the problem solver among her co-workers... even her immediate boss, like to ask her to pass down message, especially when it's dealing with managing other younger female workers... maybe as a male, he found it too tedious dealing with their work attitude, so, normally he'll dedicate such sh*tty job to Naoko...
What I like about this show, is the way they film it... particularly, the interaction between the two, Naoko and Kurozawa..
on the screen, you'll see the OS of each of them... (OS, Operating System, ie. Operating System in their hearts, in their mind...)
Traditianally, when we watch films, the OS will be narrated by the person himself/herself, but this time, it's being typed out on the screen... kinda cute...
Anyway, I want to talk about that friend of mine, not about Anego... :-)
so, in real life, I have a friend of such...
whoever needs any information, advice, help, will come to her...
she didn't know why... just like the Anego, she didn't know why as well.. however... when people come asking for help, she'll go all the way, to let it resolved...
Therefore... I was thinking... mm... why do we keep going to the same person for help..
if it's me, I guess, it's purely, we know that, that person WILL help... regardless what? no matter what, we'll get some answer, we'll get some feedback...
ie. for those people where you friend never come to you for help... then.. they all know that, you WILL NOT help.. :-)
as simple as that... :-) isn't it?
it's this instinct in each and everyone of us...
really... just sit down and think, why do we choose certain people to go to, for help? for advice? not just because they're our friends, or best friends, or roommates, or housemates... we've many friends, best friends, and etc. but there are only certain number of people, we'll go confide in, or go ask questions and expecting and answer...
Further extrapolation, I believe... this is the energy field that one shows, this is the hidden message that one sent out and that, the rest of us, our antennas can sense it, and thus we are attracted to those people to ask for help...
And.. how do we use our antennas to sense it.. usually it's through conversation, through talking, through the way they carry themselves...
There ARE just some people, you know, they won't step out and help you, they won't bother to 'waste' time and listen to you, or they simply sound reluctant to help you, or, immediately after listening to your problems, or requests, they can list out all the cons to you first.. or simply discourage you... ya, Nobleman, please get out of my sight!!!
Whatever it is... if you're one who's like Anego, I know sometimes, it's really tiring, and frustrating... but then... it's a blessing...
and... if you've a friend who's like Anego.. :-) it's even a bigger blessing... :-)
Even myself, had been blessed with help from this friend...
Many years ago... while my mother was having err... a not-so-big not-so-small argument with her brother... ie. my uncle (oh.. due to that event, he's lost some respect from me... well.. now, since years have gone by... it's slowly been added back in)
and when she need to travel to that city, I gave my mother the phone number of this friend of mine, and I told my mother, if she couldn't find anybody to help bring her from one place to another place, maybe she could give a call to my friend... and yes.. my friend was the one who help bring my mother to the destination that she wanted to go... I remember that forever... :-)
Well... we will think that, people will only remember to give you a call, when they need your help... :-) that's true.. but the hidden truth is, they remember you from time to time... therefore whenever they're in a desperate situation, you are on top of the list.. :-)
again.. it's a blessing... :-)
While for those, who, nobody will remember to give you a call, when they need people's help, yep... you'll have a good and relax night on that day.. however... I am sure nobody actually remembers you :-)
It's that simple... :-)
Smoking? or...
Yesterday, I saw a news clip, reporting regarding the new rules for children's cartoon programmes...
ie. Smoking scenes are banned...
The short clip that they were showing was Tom and Jerry, where, Jerry was playing tennis with another big fat cat, and the big fat cat were smoking..
yep, this is an example picked up by the broadcaster, where "Smoking scene has to be banned"
however... the clip continue to show, where Tom (the cat) being evil (he's always evil, but yet stupid) changed the tennis ball to a bomb, and hit it over to the big fat cat...
and you know what will happen next...
Then... I asked, so, smoking is banned, but bombing is allowed :-) for children's cartoon programmes... hm...
now we know what's wrong with this world...
~The Skillet Story~ Parallel~~
:-)
As I was telling my mother over the phone the other night... I told her, I've put her into my blog...
well... I guess, she hasn't really got the idea of what a blog is... however, I put it in very layman term... ie. I write what I want to write, what I want to talk about, and publish it into the internet...
then, she told me, she did a similar thing, regarding our skillet conversation... :-)
In fact, after the other night, when she put down the phone, she told my youngest brother about our conversation too... but not in details...
she just briefly mentioned, "If I don't hang up the phone, your sister is going to hit me with her skillet!"... haha!!!! ya... as if I WAS really there... so dramatic huh?? but that's the fun thing isn't it?? (like mother like daughter, 2 crazy women)
Later, I told my mother, when she goes to internet cafe with my youngest brother, remember to ask him to show her my blog :-)
yep... my mother sometimes follows my youngest brother to my other brother's internet cafe... to email me... yep, she's learnt how to check her yahoo mail, just to email me...
sometimes, she'll just follow my youngest brother to the internet cafe to play games... whenever she discover a 'good' game, she'll let me know... I was drawn into those games for a little while, play until my hand painful, my eyes popped out... but later, I decided, I'll give them up, as I can never beat my parents' score.. yep, both she and my father, play those games...
what games? haha... they're those arcade puzzle game, like err... like Chuzzle, BounceOut, BounceOutBlitz...
ya... I gave up, cos, I couldn't beat their score, what a shame huh!!! :-)
Anyway... my mother goes to internet cafe with 2 agendas... 1 is to email me... another 1, is to see if there's any new game installed on those machine, then, she'll ask my brother to install one at home :-)
like shopping for fish... :-)
ON THE ROCK
I've a very funny habit... mm... just like when we're small that time, we like to play with toys, like kitchen utensil sets, or, doctor and nurse toy set... :-) well... at least in the place that I stay, we do have that short of toys...
However.. until now, I still carry this sort of habit, a similar habit...
The other day, we went to this place called Greco, near Crown Entertaintment Complex, introduced by one of my friends...
We went there late Friday night.. ya... this city... oh!!! to me, it's not even a city, you can't really find night life.. I mean, decent night life... the only place you can find, decent and indecent mixture, is this place, in Crown...
the rest of the city, on the street.... when darkness falls, you feel like you end up in a ghost town... yep... not even ghost will walk on the street...
It seems like this Greco serves quite quite interesting dishes... and during peak 'supper' hour, one can actually see some long queue lining up at the entrance...
we were sitting at the bar counter, ooh.. normally people don't like to sit at the bar counter, as the stools are normally very high, thus it's hard for one to sit there for long hour and hang out...
but, this Greco place, the high stools at the bar counter, are very very comfortable... we sat there for the whole night, looking at the delicious cold dishes displaying in front of us.. it looks and sounds like an italian cafe... interesting place
However the MOST interesting thing is, it's quite a huge range of sinful cakes on the other side of the cafe, catering for the dine-in customers, as well as for those people who just come to grab a decent fresh piece of cake and then ciao...
Anyway.. the thing about this cafe is.. :-) I've finally fallen in love with another new coffee drinks...
usually whenever I am out there in a coffee place, I'd just order mocha... but that day, when I was in Greco, maybe it's at night, maybe I was happy and excited, as we've finally found some place that we can possibly hang out quite often, AT NIGHT... so, I was in the mood to try up new stuff...
In fact, it's not that I have not tried this before, but, it's served in different manner...
it's the Affogato...
Mm... yummy!!!!!! the way they serve the Affogato is like the one in the picture...
While taking it, I was teling him, I feel like I'm having some hard liquour ON THE ROCK.... and I told him, next time we will come to this place more often, to have this Affogato... (it's basically a shot of Expresson on top of a scoop of vanilla icecream... yummy!!)
:-) He then... told me that, I'm still like a kid...
Yep.. that's quite true... when we're kid, we used to buy those chewing gum in cigarette form, before, we put the chewing gum in the mouth, we'd pretend to smoke for a while...
ya, smoking is bad, that's why, we go for chewing gum...
Then, I discover a type of mineral water bottle, which looks like those little flat pocket-size liquor bottle... so I started carrying it everywhere, to work, to my Japanese language class... till one day, my Japanese teacher, Miss Matsui couldn't help staring at it, and then, shyly asked me, if there's alcohol inside the bottle :-) kakaka!! it works...
nah, I then told her, that's just normal water in it.. :-)
ya, drinking is bad, I was just having normal plain water... :-)
Today, I've found another new toy :-)
So, if you pump into me drinking something that looks like alcoholic drinks... then, I am just having the very innocent AFFOGATO!!!!!
Fish for Life@@
We've FINALLY!!!! as in FINALLY found something in this city.. something that's sooooo precious to me... to us...
Usually... well... as for me, solely for me, I've a benchmark for places that I stay...
It must have, a good japanese buffet that comes with reasonable price... where I can have my regular dosage of fresh sashimi...
It must have, a good CD/DVD shop, where I can find huge varieties (in terms of language) of CDs for me to pick...
It must have, good cable TV programme... :-)
It must have, a good system of public transport, with reasonable price...
Well then... some of the places that I have been to, passed my benchmark while some don't...
Sad, isn't it...
Sad, when I can't find a place in this city, to have my dosage of sashimi...
UNTIL~~~~~~~~~~
I found SAMURAI!!!!!!!
Yep, thanks to my friend, we're introduced this place...
It's definitely not the best place for japanese food in town, and it's definitely not having the best services...
the staff hardly speak any English, however... I find this challenging, well... you can go to Wagamama, staff there, speak perfect English, so then... you'll have english/asian fusion food, on a so-called Japanese food menu... err....... ????
SASHIMI, I mean SHASHIMI... not a place where you see big STICK of sushiSSS lying there...
Anyway, we both decided, after last weekend, that, SAMURAI will be our fortnightly pilgrimage destination :-)
Look at them... how much do all these cost? in this city.. NOTHING is cheap!!!! so, for this place, SAMURAI, so far so good...
for AUD36, we've a very very satisfying lunch...
Yummy!!!!~~~~~~~ Food for life, Fish for life!!! :-)
wire netting + gas tank + a pair of scissors = ??
What's the above equation?
I didn't know about this, until my friend, the other day, came to my place, and use my computer...
She was basically very much amazed with the desktop wallpaper that I used that other day... it's my cute little nephew's photo...
well.. when I first received the photos, yep... I did notice the the pair of scissors that's used to cut the flower... then, I asked my mother, why gave him such dangerous tool... the answer that I got was, "it's blunt, so, it's ok!!!" (I nearly fainted, but then... that's quite a while ago....)
then, my friend stared at the photos, amazed and amused... pointed out 2 more things... well, I actually explained to her the 'situation' without realizing the potential danger...
The little door on the wall, is actually a compartment where the gas tank is stored, gas tank for cooking, ie. it's connected to the cooking stove on the other side of the wall...
Then... there's this wire netting which is just at his eye level...
THEN!!!! it's beside a compartment that's used to store the cooking gas tank!!!!
YA... this time, my friend nearly fainted!!! :-)
However... why my little nephew likes to come to this place... ya... he likes to come to this place...
it's because... there's this little cat which likes to hide inside the compartment, treated it like its own cosy little house...
That's why later, the wire netting was put on, but my nephew still thought that, he could see the little cat over there...
:-( oh!!! poor thing, he didn't know he's not going to see his little cat friend anymore...!!!
(sob sob........)
