Sarah Connor Chronicles

Again… it's not really about Sarah Connor, I don't even watch the series, ^_^,

It's about a chat session with my otaku brother… haha!!!

I like chatting with him, though it's 10 years apart, but I think… he's very mature in certain thoughts…

Anyway… thinking of the stupid future world, ie. all the environmental and ethical and moral issue… I guess, the future, will not be something that's so good for my baby!! Ya, of course, by that time, she's not a baby anymore…

Call me pessimistic, but yes, the majority's going towards the doomsday if you ask me…

And yes, there're still people who're good, and who're working damn damn hard to influence the majority of the people who're marching their way to doomsday! But again, my view's pretty pessimistic in that sense, cos, it's like 1-1000, or 1-100000, or more? I don't know…

It's just like, lately, justlife (the organic shop) just shared a message, http://www.onepercentfortheplanet.org/en/ 1% for the planet…

I was thinking… arrghh… whatever we do, and however we strive… in fact, at this stage, it's only 1%, or even less..

Though… that doesn't stop me… I don't like to be stopped, and I don't like to give up!! Cos, I'm a COW!! And baby's a COW too… so, I think, she'll have the same willpower as I do… I pray!

But just like what I've told him the other day, oh, I mean him, as in him!! (^_~ you know who LA!!) not my otaku brother…

I told him, maybe in the future, eating expensive (it's not that expensive, but it's definitely not the cheapest) organic food will be a norm in the future…

(ya, I've been looking for online grocery delivery, again, another website to share, http://www.good4u.com.my, not too much choice, but you get some decent organic food, which you know you're doing something to save the environment!! Hey!! Our water's running out ok?? You ALL can choose to ignore the naked truth, but it's the truth!! As long as we can afford, organic all the way!)

Ya… maybe in the future, organic food's norm… or whatever food… I don’t know, even if I'll be given the eyes to see and look into the future, I wouldn't want to… cos, I'm pessimistic in that sense!!!

And talking about the future…

So, I suddenly thought that, baby should equip herself with some good survival skill, just like sarah connor… and that's when I mentioned I need to train her to be so and so…

My otaku brother responded, "why sarah connor, bring her to learn tai-chi can already!!", oh, ya ho!! Haha!!!...

Whatever…

Maybe (I said, "maybe" only, k?) I won't bother what grade she'll get in geography, but I've to be damn sure, she'll know how to pack light, how to plan her trip to other places, how to be independent in the trip, how to stay in cheapo hotel, ie. backpack, how to even stay in the camp site…, if I've the heart to do so…

Well… all depends on what type of personality she is… when she grows slightly bigger… maybe she likes outdoor, maybe she likes sport… then, yes, no more prim-and-proper ballet dancer, or piano lesson, just throw her out there, learn some kungfu, some outdoor survival skill…

And let her pick up some basic skill like sewing, like drawing, like cooking, or, carpentering, or handicrafting, or whatever… which… lasts for centuries…

Especially during bad economy time, say for eg. A person like me.. A fulltime housewife who's good at nothing… really nothing!!! I didn't learn to knit or to sew from my mother last time, ie. there's nothing that I can sell now… about myself…,

You don’t want an indoor geologist,

And neither do you want an indoor IT professional…, right?

There're just some skill… which, were used to be called HOBBY!! If one is equipped with these skill… they still can sell their home-made products at home…

Oh, another one, baking!

One of my ex-business partner's just bake-for-good, she gave up in her IT career… actually went back for a while, but decided to give up for good!

And now, she's fulltime baking, doing something that she enjoys, and spend so much quality time with her sons… how lovely!

See!! AT THE END OF THE DAY, it's all these skills (which we used to call it HOBBY) that counts, and that helps one to survive, even though one is jobless… and that, I don't have!!!

AT THE END OF THE DAY,

I think, she only needs to know a few things..

Maths, as that's the foundation of all knowledge, if you're good at numbers, and must be damn good at it, than you're good!

Engineering, ie. machine, cos, see.. When disaster strikes, maybe you need to go fix some engine to runaway (haha!! I AM pessimistic!),

Medicine, ya… of all PROFESSIONAL, I think, doctors the best, they really need to be there to save lives! But I think she can skip that, let others to the job, haha!!!

Computing, if she's going into computing, I gotta make sure she'll be as good as any hackers, cos, AT THE END OF THE DAY, you can be one damn CEO of some IT company, but when disaster strikes, or, when alien attacks, or when the world's occupied by robots and you need to hack some system, I bet you can't do it!

But really, I still think she needs some "sarah connor chronicles" skill… to survive, to fight bad people!!

If you ask me, the first to go, (ie. to be sacrificed) should be those stupid politicians, but then again, these are the people who'll be very fast to set you up, "put you on the table to  be chopped", before you even realize it! And therefore, if she's sarah connor's skill, she won't  be bullied so much, physically… at least when put on the table that time, she can manage to runaway…
