When "Changes" sucks

I remember many years ago, I attended a weekend workshop organized by my previous previous employer
“who moved my cheese??”
(ya, it’s a book)
……

The company that I’ve just joined in this March, is currenly undergoing lots of changes… all in aim, to be more efficient…
Being new, there’s pros and cons…
Cons, is for me
Pros, is for the company… ^_^ (ie. Since company wants to have changes, it’s best to have new blood rather than retaining old blood that’ll resist change)
Ie. I’ve to fight with people who resist to adapt to the changes…

Basically… I’ve to fight with my colleagues in the northern region who resist to comply with the new organization chart
And also to fight with vendors who resist to the very same way…

In fact, to me it’s fine…
I had a heated argument with my colleague over the phone late last night…

cos, my job is to keep all information in 1 centralized place… however, there’re still stubborn souls out there, who resist to work in this format…
they prefer to take things in their own hands…. Again, that’s fine with me…
but then… suddenly, they decided to put me in the loop…
without asking them long questions and elaboration, I asked them one simple word “why??” (they know what I mean)
and they… actually gave me a long long explanation… of why they initiated certain nego and queries directly to those vendors…
serious, that’s fine with me…

as most of the internal people may think that, my department is to ‘control’, which in fact, IS
but I make my services to them, as to ‘help’, rather than ‘control’, and maybe it’s only me, having this motto…
however, there’re still bunch of people, especially the northern region people, who just seemed not to understand the whole point of this new organization…

after giving me the full length of ‘explanation’, she told me, “that’s why I keep you in the loop mah!!” (ya, like half way in the middle of nowhere, when you haven’t realised that you’ve been asking the wrong person, for the wrong thing and there’s still no response…)
I seriously told her that, it’s fine, and she didn’t even have to put me in the loop…
Cos, by putting me and my department that I’m reporting to, in the loop when it’s already half-cooked… meaning, they sense that, something’s going to go wrong and they need more people to help them to clean up the mess…
And for the second/third time I told her this, “I know you may not like the change, but it’s not matter if you like or not like, the change is already there, and you just have to work in according to that!!”
Ya, then, she said, she’ll ask her boss for opinion…
And ya, as if I’m scared, I seriously couldn’t give a #%#!%#%^#@ about it
And anyway, their “resistant behaviour” has already been notified to the management, and it’s not just this particular person… but nearly the whole northern region office…

There’re just people, who… I don’t know if it’s because they don’t understand the change, or they just don’t want to understand… or the worst thing that can happen to anybody is… they’re already lack of the capability to adapt to the change…

Hey… that’s when “changes” sucks… @_@
